Is there a good way to record from my RCA DCT-100 (DirecTV) to a hard drive on my PC? Or, better yet, a TIVO HD...

No...there is no way to record from a DTC100's VGA output unless you are using a JVC WVHS VCR...a very expensive Analog HD VCR.

The simple answer is no. You need to do some research on this subject here. There are some recording possibilities, HiPix, AccessTV, for Dish 5000 units (no longer made).

There is also an analog HDTV VHS machine but it's expensive.
