Watched tonite and really enjoyed (for the reasons you stated).

FWIW, here is plenty of stage blood and livestock intestines splattered around to satisfy gore-hounds.

Also, the Big Bad is definitely wickedly nasty.

I thought the original story went a long way.
I honestly can't recall a tale quite like this.smile.gif
And for me, that's important.wink.gif

I give it 4 creepy and fun Zombies.

I know Halloween was a few days ago, but I thought some of you may appreciate it or be inspired by it. I got the idea when I saw a 3D scull cake mold (by Wilton) on Amazon. The idea of a skull cake is cool, but why stop there? And with that, an idea was born.

Inspired by the meatloaf hand found on not martha, I used the mold to make a 3D meatloaf head to go with the hand:

This was only a test, so forgive the lack of presentation, it should have been put on a platter with some greens or something, but the results prove that it will work. The next time I make this, I'd change the eyes. A pearl onion cut in two stuffed with a black olive would work perfectly. I'd also change the cheese selection. This was mozzarella, and I think either provolone or cojack with peppers would work better. The onion teeth could also be improved, and the two halves of the head need to be held together (probably using a cut up chopstick as a dowel). I also thought about putting a thin layer of catsup under the cheese, so it would kind of ooze out when cutting into it. All that can be improved for next year.

And, yes, it tasted great.

That is disgustingly awesome! I kind of like the presentation on butcher's paper.

My favorite meatloaf topping is 1/4 cup of tomato sauce, one teaspoon of dry mustard and one tablespoon of brown sugar. It tastes great and is a nice dark red blood color.

Lolz!

Nothing for me Friday and Saturday night. Saturday we had my 8 year olds soccer team over for Monsters University in the theater. Note to self, have the kids come over earlier for time to spazz out before they get in my pretty theater. Eight kids, 8-9 year olds and good athletes, with LOTS OF ENERGY. Should have taken a picture of the damage. Popcorn, pretzels, chips...everywhere. eek.gif

Finally got it cleaned up, and no permanent damage, and got in SCANNERS last night. Cronenburg, that I have only really seen bits and pieces over the years. Kind of cheezy but the final fight scene was pretty cool and iconic.

Without further ado -

Obviously, you are not NEARLY the critic that I am! LOL! wink.gif

I gave Demented a negative 3.5, so if you substitute with an average 3.0 flic, adds a positive 6.5, and brings the average all the way up to your neighborhood. FUN WITH NUMBERS. tongue.gif

Last year I had a lot of dogs and 2.71 is fairly representative of 2012.

Numbers are only relevant with movies not seen before.
Old Favs skew the data.

Googled her after I watched Cemetary Man. For some reason the movie did not seem that old to me, and then I see the googled pics of her. eek.gif

Good news is she seems to like to show her body. Bad news, the movie is 20 years old and she is very young and fresh faced in it then, not so much now. I did not follow the celebrity, euro gossip scene for the past 20 years, but it looks like she was quite the party gal and early twenties looks alot better than her early 40's does now. smile.gifmad.giftongue.gif

True. And then you dig deeper in to the numbers and see how many FTV's, compared to not.

Then, I suppose, you could qualify the FTV's as were they fairly well known movies, and just not seen before by the viewer. If so, you would assume the number to average higher due to positive connotation to the movie and, most likely, why it was picked. Then again, clearly, horror movies require the most suspension of disbelief of any genre, which makes it harder to be consistent from viewer to viewer. And I am just getting started...tongue.gif

And with that said, I finally purchased "Trick 'r Treat", "Event Horizon" and (lord help me) "World War Z." I'll wait for "The Conjuring" and "Evil Dead" remake to come down in price. Thank goodness I possess patience...

I continue to dip in to my new Universal BD Monster Collection...

Tonite was Creature of the Black Lagoon.
This always scared the sh!t out of me when I was a kid.

Until tonite, I hadn't noticed the very close resemblance:
