Cool! I like the looks of it!

I know this is kinda OT but I just discovered this band and my daughter likes the music and their clothes. Not everyones taste but the music is mash up of metal, Japanese pop and electro. I like it, but then again I am weird so here goes! BabyMetal!

This floated up on my side this week as well. Not bad. I can't do sustained listening however as my brain tends to violently reject most illuminati programming.

Yep that is straight up Japanese pop! They do some crazy ish but what I like about the Japanese is that they make up their own style and really go with it. I really would like to go back to Japan one day because that is a very fun country to visit.

Solid B movie with great ideas that the crowd here seemed to enjoy. I was more fond of the creature design over much else.

My review from last year, FWIW:
Quote:

47. Frankenstein's Army. Found footage style movie about a squad of Russians that get drawn into a Nazi house of horrors. I was eager to see this based on reviews here and liked it quite a bit. Really good ideas on creature design but I felt they were under-used. To go much further would be entering spoiler country however, I do think most here should give it a watch as it does feel original and different. FTV 3 stars

One of the benefits of being tied to a cargo military plane is that you go everywhere, including Germany! I was there back when they used the Deutsch Mark! Christmas is rad there as well, very friendly people and of course the Autobahn is very fun, when there isn't traffic.

I watched 2 episodes of The Returned on Sundance. Well written, suspenseful and creepy show. Kinda a slow burn so far on the lives behind the people that came back from the dead, but these people don't really act/look like your typical zombies and they are trying to figure out what is going on. Worth a watch from a change up to the Walking Dead.

http://www.themarysue.com/bbca-real-history-science-fiction/

Quote:

BBC America has just announced an awesome four-part docu-series called The Real History of Science Fiction to premiere on April 19th (the same night as Orphan Black Season 2 kicks off!) And it’s going to be narrated by none other than Mark Gatiss. “From Star Wars to 2001: A Space Odyssey, and from Jurassic Park to Doctor Who, each program is packed with contributors behind these creations and traces the developments of Robots, Space, Invasion and Time.,” says the press release, “the series determines why science fiction is not merely a genre… for its audience it’s a portal to a multi-verse – one that is all too easy to get lost in.

Are you ready for who they’ll be speaking to?

Among those taking part are: William Shatner (Star Trek), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek), Steven Moffat (Doctor Who), Richard Dreyfuss (Close Encounters of the Third Kind), Chris Carter (The X-Files), Ronald D Moore (Battlestar Galactica), John Landis (An American Werewolf in London, Schlock), David Tennant (Doctor Who), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), John Carpenter (Dark Star, The Thing), Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), Neil Gaiman (The Sandman, Stardust), Kim Stanley Robinson (Mars Trilogy), Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise), Ursula K Le Guin (The Left Hand of Darkness), Syd Mead (Blade Runner), Kenny Baker (Star Wars), Anthony Daniels (Star Wars), Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek), Peter Weller(Robocop), Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner, Battlestar Galactica) and many more.

Outstanding. Though I will point out how funny it is two out of the four women they list here both played Uhura. The press release also gives short bios for Charlie Jane Anders, Veronica Cartwright, Gale Anne Hurd, Ursula K. Le Guin, Audrey Niffenegger, Janet Peoples, presumably also featured in the documentary.
