Merry Christmas and how many horror movies did Santa leave under the tree for ya? I may go see if any of the nearby Chinese restaurants are going to be open since it is a big business day for them. My rels party on Chrstmas Eve and probably should go jog some of the calories from that off.

If the lead actress looks familiar it is Sofia Hilen known for her role in "Bron|Broen" the Scandinavian version of "The Bridge". Three and a half broken life lines.
I watched this a few weeks ago and it reminded me of the Aussie flic Rogue with a little Primal mixed in. I liked the Nazi touches from Ragnorak and reminded me to put the third Outpost in my queue - which I watched last night. This was pretty fun and reminded me a bit of Frankenstein's Army though a little more consistent. More of an action movie than horror, as the leads were never really scared even when trapped with mutated, zombie freak Nazis...

Watched Grace: The Possession today. I'd give it a 5.5/10. The movie uses the POV perspective and was a nice change to see but other than that, nothing too interesting.

Watched "I, Frankenstein" last night. Yeah, I actually watched the whole thing but it never got better. Gave it two stars on Netflix. The dialog seemed to be written for a 2nd grade school play and the actors phoning in their parts for lunch money.

I enjoyed it but it could have been better.
Paz de la Huerta is hot but also odd looking at the same time. Something about her eyes seem off to me.

Lol, I would not have admitted this...

This could have been so much fun if it had been R, with an extremely dark, sinister tone. Brutal, inhuman, violence, because the guy is a monster...fighing demons...

But no, is a lame twilighty, pg13 crapfest.

I thought she was perfect for this role. Hot body, but with crazy eyes.

Agreed, could have been better. Hokie in places but still a fun rental.

Not one of my proudest moments.

I agree. I'm so tired of these movies going all Twightly instead of going the proper R route.

I rented "Nurse" on DVD a while back (when Redbox was getting a better selection) and enjoyed it and liked Paz de la Huerta's performance. There is a commentary on the DVD and the director said her bottomless scene was her idea.

I watched I Frankenstein a while ago and I agree with everyone sentiments about the movie. Wabo I saw The Happening in the theater and I wish I was at home pulling weeds. I really don't get bent out of shape over films in theaters but that movie imo, should have never been made.

I was lucky to pick up two new movies at Redbox this morning, As Above So Below and The Equalizer. I watched As Above this afternoon and it is worth the rent! Yes it is another shaky fauxmentary movie but it does have creepy underground, interesting back story, droning sounds and decent bass moments. Not a ton of blood but the movie had a decent amount of tension. I agree this movie could have looked great without the shaky cam, kinda like The Descent.

Bottomless scene you say? Adds to queue.

Well, i watched NURSE. More skin than i expected (which is fine with me), not quite as much gore as i expected, plot so-so. Certainly worth a watch, but wouldnt watch again.

The lead woman, as has been discussed, has a great body but geez, her face is ugly as hell to me. Distracted me a lot. She is really the definition of a Butterface.

EDIT: I meant to say above about the gore that there wasnt as much as i expected except for the last 20 minutes or so, it was a good gore-fest near the end!!!

never take life seriously

I picked up "Tusk" this morning at Redbox on BD. I wanted to get "As Above, So Below" but only the DVD was available. Should have checked on the app as the adjoining store had it on their RB inside on BD. I keep an eye on the studio as some of the titles come to Netflix in a month and some take a while. I also need to find one that is on DVD only to see if the new player handles current DVDs better than the old one which seemed to have problems at the layer change. My first Pioneer DVD player buffered enough so that layer changes went unnoticed.

You had to know I would reply.

This is quite the tease!!

I wonder what his game is with these Instagram posts? Just stirring the pot or something a little more concrete in mind?

Would love to see him do this but if Prometheus 2 is going to happen in a few years will this be too much to do now or set up for release after P2?

I would almost rather him just go his own way with it if it's too complicated to get made as an Alien franchise flic. Would love to see him start his own franchise.

Seeing the Master Chief helmet next to the Alien bust is cool though it was already done in Wreck it Ralph.
