Didn't want to post about duds I have watched, however....
I'm still seething over "Tusk."

WTF has happened to KS?
He just continues on a horrible downhill slide.
Where is the guy behind Clerks and Dogma?
He showed such promise....

Zombie hunting and mad doctoring, with plenty of gore and overall a decent Z apocalypse flick.

Sometimes messing with dead people can be a bad thing...good zombie/demon fun.

Another stupid Nazi experiment gone silly wrong.
Solid sequel...may be best of the series.

Witches...anyone?
In spite of the need to cut the last 30 minutes of the film, this one was very entertaining and fairly creative.
I enjoyed Outpost and WitchingBitching flic. They were fun and better than most!

The others look interesting as well, though Eaters is already pretty high up in my queue.

Doing season 1 of American Horror story this weekend.

Dad will get to enjoy a super hottie and the kiddies will have nightmares the rest of their lives.
What's not to like?

Once he sees the trailer for Jurassic World you know you're doomed . Seriously though, why does he pick out JP ?

Just left Wisconsin a few days ago right as the weather was turning a lot colder, I grew up with the type of weather you're having. Makes you grateful for Spring (whenever it shows up).

He likes looking at my BDs from time to time and I got JP for Christmas so he thinks he is going to watch it. My daughter on the other hand is scared of everything! I had AMC on when they got up from nap and Independence Day was on and she freaked out at the alien scene (in the Area51 Lab). I got in trouble for that one from the missus and my daughter!

This weekend Dish has Showtime/HBO/Max for free and I recorded Rare Exports. I never seen that movie and I remember guys here liking it.

I don't know if I would reccommend watching Rare Exports with your son.

It is an interesting, cultural take on Santa though...

Just IMDb'd Rare Exports. Any good? A Santa movie without Tim Allen. What's the world coming to?

"Rare Exports- A Christmas Tale" is based on the short film "Rare Exports Inc." that can be seen here:

Did you watch the "extras"? He says in those he figured that some would hate the film and others would like it. I happen to like it but it didn't quite have the arc of some of his other films. He prefers to make films he likes and work within the framework of lower budgets than be responsible for creating a studio hit with mega-millions of budget. I applaud that.

"Filth" is not a horror film though it does have some good "horror like" scares in it due the hallucinations the main character played by James McAvoy has. It's on NF WI. I give it 4 lithium tablets though it has about a 4.5 rating on NF.

Also a "heads up" for the schlock "Z Nation" if you don't have Syfy as all episodes are now up on Netflix. Zombie On!

I liked the way the movie tied it in like it was real mythology from their culture.

There were a few scenes with male, frontal nudity (not exploitative, just old Norse...) But, might be a bit awkward if you were watching with a young son and the Mrs. walks in. I might be more conservative than most...

I would't watch that with my son, I guess I should have stated that in my sentence so I don't look like a loon . My son does get a kick out of movies though, he loves the fight scenes from Pacific Rim or Iron Man/Avengers, and Star wars.

My daughter is the same way and sometimes is hard to tell if a certain PG13 movie is still appropriate for the age group. Rare Exports is R but some of the marketing shows the boy prominently, so you could think that it would be kid oriented. Well, if it wasn't for the r rating.

My daughter wanted to watch Ninja Turtles (new movie) and I had no idea it was PG13. My daughter was fine with it and other than the cartoon like violence, I didn't see any problems with it. I can't wait till my kids can watch scary movies like Poltergeist! I have to wait a few years for my son but my daughter probably 20 years!

I recorded Devils Due, and State of Emergency today, both I haven't seen and looking forward to watching some horror tonight!
