Post haste?? Love it. Reminds of my old college days when we watched The Simpsons religiously.

Starship Troopers rule! Too bad the sequels weren't given better treatment. With it being Valentine's Day, I will be watching The Notebook tonight. Won't mind though, because there's no better aphrodesiac for the wife than a good ole chick flick. Resume the good flicks tomorrow!

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I was here, how are you all doing? I've mostly been saving my horror viewing for October of each year, although I did recently see Se7en for the first time ever and thought it was pretty decent.

Since yesterday was Friday The 13th, I decided to watch...you guessed it...Friday The 13th! The version that I watched was from 2009. I'd forgotten that this movie is not actually a remake of the original 1980 film but rather the events that happen almost three decades later when a group of young adults come across the old Camp Crystal Lake. So I guess next month when March 13th comes up, I will be watching the 1980 movie, which of course means that I will have watched the two films in "tomahawk order" LOL.

Anyway, I liked the 2009 version of the movie, nothing groundbreaking but still a good slasher flick that goes fast. 3.5 out of 5.

Take care guys and it is good to pop in again!

^I was unaware that the 2009 version was supposed to be a future event -now it all makes sense, lol. I will have to revisit it now. Originally watched in bed on Netflix when I was sick and don't remember much about it.

My Netflix disc of The Black Stallion arrived broken so I guess I'll have to settle for Blade Runner.

Bummer about the broken disc, but at least you're settling for one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time! Is Deckard a Replicant or not, the debate rages on!

I've been with Netflix since the mid oughts and only have gotten like 5 broken discs. 3 in 2014 alone.

Will have to try for a little Friday the 13th marathon next month. The plan of a few cocktails turned into quite a sh*tshow last night.

Staying in tonight though and getting ready to fire up my blu-ray copy of My Bloody Valentine (original) after UFC ends.

Just got done with Ouija. I did not find it scary but it was quite well made and very spooky if you like atmospheric supernatural stuff. I think I'll watch Olivia Cooke in just about anything. She's got that Anna Kendrick Kute thing on lockdown. Speaking of Anna Kendrick I did not watch Pitch Perfect for the 8th time today to "test the surrounds."

I did Book of Life last night with my 9 year old. While it is a children's flic, and not scary, there are a lot of horror themes within - just handled lightly. Horror is so common today for kids and I am always running into 8, 9, 10 year olds that have knowledge, or talk about "zombies" or whatever. Always strikes me as funny.

Well they have watered it down quite a bit with Monster High and Zombie Girl. It's just a ploy for the Cults of Death to get mindshare on the youth and ease the agenda in.
