Murder House is my favorite of them all but Asylum is also very good. Freak Show has the most interesting characters and the most kills. I have mixed feelings about Coven. Much of it plays out like a soap opera but Kathy Bates performance makes it worth watching.
For me, Murder House was by far the best, and I also agree on Asylum as number two. Freak and Coven, well neither one did much for me. I hope for an improved season coming up.

By the way, I like Bates Motel more than any of the other horror tv shows, just a brilliant interplay between mother and son, and something about this show really grabs me.

Dude isn't it kinda funny that motorcyclist always have to be more vigilant while riding along more than car folks....I always tend to think most good riders habits should translate to drivers as well. Good to hear you escaped that and you had your head on a swivel.

I liked Freak Show better than Coven but they were both pretty good. Murder House and Asylum are the best of the four seasons so far. I can't wait to see what Lady Gaga does in season 5 this October.

I have Penny Dreadful, Salem, and Bates Motel waiting for me to watch. I can't decide which one will be next. Maybe it'll be Bates Motel now.

I may have mentioned it but looking on Amazon Instant the other day they had quite a few new horror titles and some were SD only and 7 day rental. These are probably titles that if they make it to RB will be DVD only anyway.

Thanks man. I got Housebound and The Taking of Deborah Logan in today.both were a pretty good watch.I'd give Housebound 3 1/2 cheese graters, as mentioned earlier, came with a few laughs and some gore.Deborah Logan took awhile to get going, but was pretty good when it did.3 demonic snake heads.

If you haven't seen any of it try Bates Motel, it's not what you would expect. Really all three series are decent, go with your mood.

I wouldn't want to get hit by either one, but after seeing her pitch I'd rather take the baseball to the bean-bag than anything she throws.

I was able to watch The Possession of Michael King yesterday night. Not too bad. Certainly better than most (similar) movies but still didn't do too much for me.

I saw it too. It was a dark and rainy night (ok the rain was on and off) and the theater shares the parking ramp for work parking (so I was already there).
Not a lot of blood in this and genre wise it's more Sci-fi/Creepy then pure horror. The writers of this seem to be Stephen King influenced in both good and bad ways. It takes awhile for things to get creepy but when they do...
This is worth a rental for Halloween. If you watch it at some point don't give away the ending.
As far as characters go, in this type of movie, characters must do one of two things Live or Die (make your choice ).

"The Scribbler" is more sci-fi fantasy but would interest many here and is available on Netflix. It's another Hollywood indie probably made by crews between their big studio work and often far better than what the bean counter folks of the studios produce. What a cast too. Katie Cassidy, Garret Dillahunt, Gina Gershon, Michael Imperioli, Eliza Dushku, Billy Campbell. Really a weird story but I'll give it 4 bunny ears that Sasha Grey wears in the film.

I'm finishing Twilight Zone, then onto Salem. I saw a couple episodes of Salem and liked what I saw. It had some Lords of Salem weirdness to it. I enjoyed Penny Dreadful and the first season of Bates Motel. The rest of my TV time has been spent on some UK cops shows to scratch my True Detective itch.
