"V/H/S Viral" was okay but I can see why some folks didn't like it as way too much conceit with video artifacts and of course shakycam foes will hate it. Plus unless you know Spanish you'll want to turn subtitles on with Netflix WI since they don't do it for you with the middle story.

I loved Saw and Groundhog Day. I didn't care for 50 First Dates.

Watching Inglourious Basterds on IFC now. I need more Tarantino. I can't wait for The Hateful Eight.

After reading that I had to go check my storage closet to see if my boxes of VHS tapes were still there.

The opening scene had me thinking it would be like Tucker & Dale so maybe my expectations were too high. I'll watch it again when the blu ray hits the discount bin.

Might be rumor but I heard Hideo might be leaving Konami? So this upcoming Metal Gear is probably the last one by him.

This one was scheduled to open on Friday but I don't know if it made it to the theaters. I didn't see any show times listed for it around here.

Hence my reference. He would do well in movies given the stuff he did in MG. Winter Soldier was almost MG and had me wishing they would go that direction but I know they won't.

Agree. The opening scene was great and elevated my hopes for the rest of the movie.

I have a few boxes of them. I also have a couple of old players but the one to use is my D-VHS JVC player that has S-VHS out. That one needs a good head cleaning. I also have a bunch of tapes of HD shows recorded off HBO and Showtime using either D-VHS (expensive tapes) or S-VHS tapes with the fudge that JVC engineers left in. Got the D-VHS deck free with my purchase of the JVC HD camera back in 2003. I also picked up two JVC S-VHS decks cheap on clearance at Circuit City before they closed. Gave one to a friend and loaned one to another friend who unfortunately passed away before I could get it back. S-Video is the way to transfer VHS to video files.

all the old VHS out.

It went straight to VOD, iTunes has it for 12.99 and amazon has it as instant video as well as blu-ray. The instant video has a rental option.

I liked "Beyond" though it isn't a movie with a lot of CGI aliens but more about the human response of survival in the situation. The low ratings are probably from people who want CGI sci-fi thrillers and don't like British accents. No monsters were filmed in this movie let alone harmed. Three and a half jars of baby food.

Not terrible but not great. As soon as the Millinneal said "Uber us a taxi out of here..." I stood up and rooted the beast even harder. It had just the right amount of monster but not enough gore and no human to root for.

Was going to watch Animal, but decided it was time to watch Dead Snow 2. Some gonzo scenes. Kept the prop blood guy busy. Martin is the new Ash. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.
