I found the writing a lot more mature than what you get in a lot of B movies. There were a lot little hints about what was going to happen along the way. Some people compared it to the French movie "Them" and I can see the similarities or perhaps inspiration.

Wasn't terrible. I like setups like these.

I picked up a Raspberry Pi yesterday. This evening I set up RasPlex on it to play media files from my Plex server. The first movie I picked to test it out with was World War Z. That was well over an hour ago. I didn't care for this Z movie when it first came out but now I can't stop watching it. I'll be watching this one again in October.

It's a good one. My only gripe is it not following the book, had it done that it wold have been epic. Probably could've been the ultimate zombie flick given the setup of the book and all the little side vignettes.

NO way the entire book could have fit into one film.
For some reason, we haven't got a sequel yet....

The format of the book would lend itself to a never ending anthology of zombie stories. Potentially you could do movies for decades on it.

Spoiler!

This should been inspiration for what the ridiculous TWD turned out to be.

Yup.
I think that's why there's a spinoff in LA but yeah a TWD season in a different place would have been real nice. I still like the show but it's not appointment TV anymore. I let 4 or 5 stack up and then binge.

I like TWD. Have you seen the S5 finale? Pretty good.

Yeah, season 5 was really good. Easily, the series, is the most cinematic on tv. If you're a hardcore gore hound there's plenty to freeze frame

Just finished watching Exists. Really liked it. Had a few The Blair Witch Project references (it's the same director).
