Can you recommend any other NF or Amazon series?

I started watching The Canal on NF today. Not a bad flick and so far so good!

I watched "Altar" last night on NF WI. Good cast with Olivia Williams and Mathew Modine but the movie was a little weak. It's a UK ghost story about a family who moves into an old house with a history so that the mother (Williams) can take on a project of restoring it. There's a few silly things in it but it's not supposed to be a comedy. Two and a half Yorkshire bottled waters.

I transferred The Other (1972) from a VHS tape to DVD for my sister in law tonight. I've never heard of this one before. It's rated PG and is about as tame as an after school special but the story is very good. Worth a watch if you ever have a chance to see it.

I posted this in the Sharknado 3 thread too. Syfy is kicking off Sharknado week in style. Set your DVRs.

Quote:
Syfy is also planning a Sharknado Week premiere event, featuring six additional original movies.
They are: "Sharktopus Vs. Whale Wolf" (Roger Corman's third installment of the 'Sharktopus'
franchise, starring Casper Van Dien); "3-Headed Shark Attack" (starring Danny Trejo);
"Roboshark"; "Mega Shark Vs. Kolossus" (starring Illeana Douglas); "Zombie Shark" (starring
Jason London); and the premiere of "Lavalantula" (starring Steve Guttenberg and fellow "Police
Academy" alums Leslie Easterbrook and Michael Winslow, as they battle lava-breathing
tarantulas threatening to destroy Los Angeles).

"Wayward Pines" is debuting episode 1 today for free on a number of streaming outlets. I'll give it a whirl on VUDU but I see it's already on Hulu. No ads either. We'll see if M Night can do a TV show justice or not.

"Slow" it was, but in a good way.
I never quite knew where it was going.
It did pull me in.

This film really isn't a Horror Movie.
It is more of a surreal experience than a Horror one.
The characters are almost as ghosts, stumbling thru life half dead.

There is a lot of evocative cinematography that will be hard for me to forget.

I recommend this movie to those looking for something completely different and memorable.
