I'm in the wrong line of work. I also suggest Jeremy Clarkson and Anthony Bourdain World Food Tour.

Watched The Final. A take on getting revenge on bullies in high school by the bullied. Note, there is not much blood/gore (actually barely any) in the movie.

I watched "REC 4" on DVD last night (RB was handing out discount codes so it was all of 81 cents). Not bad so I'll give 3 and half fried monkeys.

"Wayward Pines" looked great in HDX. Too bad FOX doesn't broadcast in 1080p.

Looking for Forward to Wayward Pines (bad pun intended).

You are probably aware I recently picked up Amazon Fire TV.
So far, I have been very pleased with it and think it works remarkably well.

Although VUDU isn't supplied with the unit, I noticed I have something called "Hulu Plus."
According to the website, it also has Ep. 1 of Wayward Pines available.
Do I have to pay to watch this episode or does it come free with the Fire TV?
Sorry, this streaming business is all new to me....

It's free on Hulu Plus" but also on Amazon free.

I assume you're all set up for Amazon if you have a Fire TV. A lot of shows are launching with first episode free these days on the streaming apps. Some of these companies have people not so good at math where I've saved $1 by watching the first episode free then the remaining at full price. The "season pass" was $1 more yet according to my account I "own" all episodes.

Hulu is like 7 bucks a month and works well for recent network shows and a ton of classic stuff, they also have a boat load of the Criterion Collection on there. Amazon gets a huge nod from us. The season passes usually cover a lot of shows and the cost is minimal. I did not like my Fire TV Stick, GUI was fine but it always kept asking me to re-login to apps and buffered way too much compared to the Roku. We have been very impressed with the Roku and have them in each room. With an antenna for locals and the Roku for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu we are getting all we can stand. One thing the Roku does is universal search. You plug in whatever you are looking for and it searches all the sources for you. Pretty handy to weed out stuff that is included in Netflix but costs on Vudu or Amazon.

If you're in the mood for something a little different and animated try King of Thorn. It was not at all what I was expecting and found myself jaw agape a couple of times before I realized it was a survival horror meets Sleeping Beauty. I should have saved this for the October pile.

No problem here.

Haven't had much of a problem.

The only "problem" I noticed was Friday night when I wanted to watch A Girl Walks Home at 6pm.
The buffering stopped at 25% and said to "Try again later," or something like that.
I did around 9pm and it worked perfectly.

I think my Fire TV does that...

Maybe the Fire Stick isn't as capable as the Fire TV BOX?
