As it just so happens, I found it tonite on NF streaming.

What an interesting movie this is!
It starts out so hackneyed, with the normal tropes typical of a cheap sci-fi.

During the first 45 minutes I FFed thru the obligatory soap (something I rarely do).
Having seen the trailers, I wanted to see some of the critters before oinking.
As it turned out, it actually starting to become interesting....

Although it is part The Deer Hunter, part Black Hawk Down, part Platoon, part a Twilight Zone lost episode...don't let that put you off.
I really admire the fact this movie isn't anything like the first (a compliment).

Excellent cinematography really adds a lot too.
Very interesting and imaginative visuals....lots of style everywhere.

Very underrated movie IMO.
If anyone is looking for something different and memorable, this film fits the bill.

The key is to make it thru the first 3/4 of an hour...
When the "horses" show up, the real movie begins.

AV is 1st class.

I watched It Follows last night. I didn't think it was a bad movie but I wouldn't call it great. It's not really a horror movie either. It's barely a thriller. The story was interesting enough to keep me watching to the somewhat disappointing ending. Despite it's problems I enjoyed it.

I caught Bsnshee Chapter yesterday. I think it was mentioned here before. Not a bad movie, had a few jump scares and a air of suspense. It's hard to get into the mood for horror in the afternoon but you gotta watch it when you can.

Amazon has the blu-ray for $13 today. I'm considering buying it even though I share your thoughts. Its a good watch, but definitely could've been better. Hmmmmm, what to do.

It might be worth $13 for a first time watch. Target and Walmart have it at that price too.
I've already watched it so I won't pay that much just to add a disc to my collection. I might buy it if I spot it in a discount bin some day.

Save the dough.
Should qualify for streaming in a few months.

Thanks for talking me down. Didn't realize it was on sale for that price everywhere. A second watch is better suited for streaming anyway.

I am not that impressed with Amazons 20 year sale today. They have a few movies, games and other gadgets but it (imo) doesn't seem like a 'black friday' sale.

Yep, and I did buy some stuff like a modem (so I can keep my $10 from Comcast)and boat safety stuff. None of which was on 'sale', although I did get a good price on the stuff.

Oh well I guess the bright side is I keep more of my money today!

Make sure you keep an eye on those sneaky ba$tards at Comcast. I used my own modem from day one and they charged me for the rental. Had to fight them every month or so. I finally had to physically take the damn thing to them to show them it wasn't theirs.

I did see Amazon had a 50" Samsung HU 8550 with an external HDD loaded with 10 4k movies and 30 4k documentaries for 999.99. Nice set,though I'd prefer a 65.

Yeah I think I might have to call them to get that charge off or to give them my MAC address to get the new modem to work. I just think my internet has been very weird lately (slow/fast/ not connecting), and when I lived in Cincy, my ISP was acting up like this till I bought my own equipment, suddenly I had no issues. But Cincy Bell wouldn't take the $5 dollar charge off because it was part of the internet contract. If I can get the internet to work as I paid for and get the charge off I will be one happy guy!

That tv looks like a good deal! Too bad my panny is still going strong! I don't know what I will do when both of my old plasmas go out.

I had the exact same problem with Comcast. I had to call them every few months because they kept adding the modem charge back on the bill. That's one of the reasons I switched to FiOS.

Unfortunately my only other option was ATT DSL and I dumped them because it never worked and when it did it was super slow. Comcast is bringing 2gps for 150.00 a month. A little steep for me.

"It Follows" became available yesterday at Redbox both on DVD and BD. Studio execs love it when you buy as it helps pay for their retirement home in the Bahamas.

Suffering through Birdemic right now. It's awful but I can't stop watching. I started watching Sleep Tight last night. It's pretty slow but still good. It was late and I fell asleep about an hour into the movie. I need to finish that one.
