That really is some disturbing stuff (IMO)...I just had to share.

BTW, Ms. Oink will soon be gone from the pen for a week and I will have the time to settle down to business with our Marathon.

19. Father's Day. FTV. Astron 6 (Manborg/The Editor) are going to hell for this one. This may be the first time that a cannibal rapist is really on film. Shocking gore and humor abound in this thriller centered on a hunt for a killer (Chris F**kman) that kills and rapes dads. Knives in penis, needles in penis, penis bitten off, and actual blood bath are some of the tame highlights. I think there's plenty here for all the regular members and highly recommend it for you.

7. Shocker

Sadly this film was not as great as I remembered. Heck I even named my iguana at university after Horace Pinker. But alas, even the Megadeth cover track was worse than I recalled.

Lots of familiar faces in early film work + random cameos at least made it fun. But too long for what it was.

"The Stranger" is a Chilean horror film in Engish about a stranger who comes to a small town with some special powers. It's a little bit of a different spin on a usual genre and I enjoyed it. It's available on NF. Four spray cans. Oink will enjoy the production company's logo:

The statuesque blond in "Pernicious" will also appear in HBO's forthcoming "Westworld" where we're bound to see more of her there.

I got the book version. In hindsight I should have gotten the regular amaray version. The book makes you slide the disc in and out of a cardboard sleeve. Just asking for scratches.

7. The Cell - 4 intestine skewers
Even though I think Jlo is an annoying hag this movie is just so outside the box it really delivers! I really enjoy Tarsem Singh's vision and landscapes he selects. Although the movie was a bit odd and corny The Fall was another one that was visually stunning. IMDB simple synopsis: An FBI agent persuades a social worker, who is adept with a new experimental technology, to enter the mind of a comatose serial killer in order to learn where he has hidden his latest kidnap victim. Not an over abundance of gore but some sick scenes for sure and the movie feels like it moves at a perfect pace. Good stuff!

This isn't my favorite Wes Craven movie but it has a lot of nostalgia going on!

The soundtrack was probably why I liked this so much at the time. And it's probably better than some of the horror movies that were directly related to heavy metal, though I would love to see Black Roses again if I could get a copy.

Last night's movie was Mr. Sardonicus (1961). This is another William Castle horror flick with a gimmick. He gives a brief introduction at the beginning of the movie, then when the movie is almost over he asks the audience to hold up a card to vote on how the movie ends. The card has a big picture of a thumb on it. The audience holds their card with the thumb pointing up for a vote to show mercy on one of the characters, or with the thumb down to show no mercy. He stands there and counts the votes, then he tells the projectionist which reel to use for the end of the movie. I wasn't surprised when the vote ended up being no mercy. All gimmicks aside it wasn't too bad. I'll give it 3 hypodermic needles.

I believe I am behind in sports but I am keeping up on movies and my video games. I guess I could watch post season Dodgers but I might jinx them. Honestly though The Cards are looking really good and they will probably win the WS.
