http://movieweb.com/death-house-movi...-horror-icons/

The cast includes horror icons that any genre fan will be familiar with, such as Robert Englund, Danny Trejo, Michael Berryman, Kane Hodder, Dee Wallace, Bill Moseley, Barbara Crampton, Doug Bradley, Ken Foree, Camille Keaton and Don Shanks. Unfortunately, one of the other proposed stars, Gunnar Hansen, passed away in November. He also wrote the screenplay, which Harrison Smith (Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard) will direct from.

Quote:
"The Death House is the Area 51 of Evil... a subterranean government facility that holds humanity's worst on nine levels. Hell, Dante's ninth level, holds the Five Evils... the "dark stars" of Death House. These individuals are so heinous they can never walk among society again. They may also be supernatural. Agents Toria Boon and Jae Novak have their own dark pasts, arriving at Death House to tour its levels and observe its denizens first-hand as well as the medical and mental experiments of Drs. Eileen Fletcher and Karen Redmane. Their depraved experiments date back to the Nazi doctors of WWII. Prison cells are virtual reality holo decks that recreate prisoner environments before they were incarcerated. A special hallucinogenic gas keeps inmates under control. The victims are homeless, bused into Death House to play literal victims while killing habits are studied. The results are sick, but only a hint of what goes on here. Hell literally breaks loose inside the facility when an EMP device detonates, killing all power and communication and... releasing every prisoner. Boon, Novak, and Fletcher are caught in a race against advancing prisoner hordes led by occultist Neo-Nazi Sieg. The monsters are freed, and they're going down. Boon and Novak's fight through Death House turns into a house of horrors gauntlet; their only hope of escape is descending into Hell and enlisting the help of the Five Evils. Events culminate in a violent face-to-face standoff with absolute evil... only to find that they have traveled down a rabbit hole and through a looking glass. Black is white and white is black and the definitions of good and evil no longer apply. Who are the monsters? Who will escape?"

Remember the advice your grandfather or father gave about not buying a new car model till the next model year? Double that when anything that runs on software, new disc technology players,
Windows 10, ATV 4, Roku 4, some 4k tv's. Buying advanced products these days means you're a beta tester. Give some time for the bugs to appear/ and be dealt with. You can buy stuff early on, but know what you're getting into.

Machete don't put up with no _____ evil Seriously though, somebody like Rodriquez could help get a decent distributor for this film

Yep, it took me some time, but I've learned my lesson. I ordered my Charger in early 2011 because I was impatient. Shoot, most of the dealerships in my area didn't even have them on the lots yet. Although I don't regret it, I ended up spending a lot of time at the dealership getting the kinks ironed out as a result.

Watched Visions last night on NF streaming......well, I can think of worse ways to spend a Friday night but certainly nothing groundbreaking with this one.

The wife and I bought the first 350Zs back in 2003 and it had small issues that Nissan eventually fixed. That is until it was T boned by a driver running a stop sign.

Watched Deathgasm last nite.
Very good movie.

My right index finger got a little itchy on my "oink" button on the remote with all of the silly teen angst during the first act.
Fortunately, it picked up at just the right moment (the, uh...Latex Battle) and had fun with it.

Not as much humor as I thought there would be, but a solid horror flick nonetheless.
And Gore Hounds won't be disappointed either.

The AV of the BD was very good.

A couple trailers from the disk look good:

Yeah I was pissed but after the adrenalin wore off my body was in pain. Luckily I had witness there to get me out of my car and to tell the cops she ran the sign. But the car design saved my life.

I am hoping to get deathgasm soon!

Lol.

I did my $5 Highlander bluray last night. Probably saw this way back in the day but nothing was ringing any bells. Hard to believe James Lambert had a run of celebrity for a while as he is such a dead fish in this. As usual Sean Connery was great in his limited time and 80's audio effects sound like somebody made them with their mouth. 80's cheese for the win though.

Love me some 80's cheese. Been ages since I've seen Highlander. Clancy Brown rocked. He was a great villain. Speaking of cheese, thinking of Philly cheesesteaks for lunch.

I watched episode one of "The Lizzie Borden Chronicles" last night on Netflix. Not bad and filmed like a indie movie.

I stopped collecting years ago when I realized I had shelves of DVDs and BD's that I haven't watched a second time. Unfortunately I now have an array of streaming titles on various services that I "own" and will probably not watch an episode again. Which is why I argue that someday one of the studios is going to get the idea to rent for 50 cents an episode but it will take the economy getting worse. Some seem to be lowering the price of "own" though.

Bad thing about Netflix getting rights to the current season of "The Blacklist" is that it can't be on Hulu the next day. Don't know when on NF but probably two months after the season ends. Don't bug me about OTA either as there is none in this valley.

I try and only buy movies that I will watch more than once and since I don't go to the movies a lot, collecting is the 'cheaper'/more convenient for me. Plus I like having something in my hand. I wonder if studios in the future will contract out 3rd party for discs because since they really want to focus on cloud movie watching. I also wonder if streaming services can get to the standards of UHD or Atmos/DTSx, will that spur the ISPs to finally upgrade the Internet structure nationwide so it can become viable for everyone?

Oh I just read somewhere that NF moved all its data to Amazon. Kinda nuts but Bezos is making money on both fronts!http://www.engadget.com/2016/02/12/n...mazon-servers/
