I don't order enough from Amazon to justify Prime nor am that interested a lot of their original shows. I did consider a Fire TV stick but want to be careful to get a Fire TV I can develop on. I have apps on their app store.

Walmart is a mile from me and they had a competitive deal. VUDU which is owned by Walmart had some good deals on TV seasons and movies. Not a big fan of Walmart but Fry's is 8 miles away and sometimes Walmart has an item for the same price and I don't have to use as much gas. Having something shipped to Walmart is free and I don't have to worry about some malcontents swiping the package when delivered to the house.

Item for this summer is a new smartphone as the Galaxy Nexus (a 5 year old model) is beginning to lag under the bloated apps that developers make these days (and seem to need to update 3 times a week).

Any recommendations for psychological thrillers? Looking for a "mind trip."

Jacobs Ladder from 1990 is a mind trip. Has a good cast too.

The Tall Man (2012) -This wasn't a very good movie. It's not very exciting and there are plot holes big enough to drive a truck through. The best thing about it is Jessica Biel but for some unknown reason they intentionally made her look like crap. After watching it I couldn't stop thinking about it for three days.

Ouch!
I was doing some research on pools and besides the type of pool, the type of chemicals or salt water pools are pretty cool. I like those gunite pools with that pebble tech in the pool. But damn pools aren't cheap but my kids would love to have one.

I know Darth knows of some on NF and iirc there was a cool one on NF that dealt with the dmt drug. Bug, Invasion of the Body Snatchers '78 or 90's one, The Mothman Prophecies, Starry Eyes...

Oh Bone Tomahawk is on Amazon Prime and I think I might check it out this weekend.

I did get my Return of the Living Dead BD today and it was fun! I noticed that the songs played but they seemed short and of course some of the zombie voices were changed like "send more paramedics!", but it is the same version I remember seeing on a pay channel years back. I would like the Shout Version but this film for $5 bucks was a steal! This is getting replayed for October!

Possession of Michael King, Banshee Chapter, would be two dealing with various drugs. If you like Triangle you might enjoy Modus Anomali aka Ritual.

Street Trash could be fun as well.

If you get real bored follow that link in my sig to letterboxd and look at the lists there.

Make sure you watch Session 9 when you don't have to get early the next day, your sleep might be a little messed up that night.

Thanks again for the recommendations.

I've seen most of the recommendations here but I watched The Tall Man and Session 9 yesterday. Didn't really like The Tall Man; not a very good movie overall. However, I quite liked Session 9.

I did say The Tall Man wasn't a very good movie. It did make me think about it for a long time after watching it though.

Good to hear. Had this one in my queue and been waiting to get started on it. Too many other shows going right now though. I'm way behind on Preacher and just got done watching the first season of Bloodline for the second time (this time with the wife). Probably gonna do season 2 on that before starting anything new though. Honestly, with all these shows and movies to watch, there isn't enough time to get everything in. That's why I'm thinking about canceling my Netflix disc service until October rolls around. I'm basically pissing money away right now as we've had Concussion and Gods of Egypt sitting here for like 2 weeks.

I hear ya, man. There's so much to watch and so little time to watch it. I still haven't started season 2 of Daredevil yet. I have added Stranger Things to my watch list. As for tonight, it's the Killjoys and Dark Matter Friday lineup. Cheers.

Just finished Stranger Things. It's an 8 hour Firestarter, It, Explorers, Super 8. Netflix needs to add a sixth star so I can rate it higher.

If you're a fan of Fran Kranz ("Firefly", "Dollhouse") he stars in a Netflix original movie called "Rebirth". Not horror but a thriller about a guy who gets invited by a friend to spend a weekend at a retreat symposium that gets really cultish and weird. Four green t-shirts.

I was really liking Daredevil,S1 but got bogged down half way through S2,not a bad show, but as mentioned,so much to watch and unfortunately,my wife doesn't really care much for TV so I get it when I can.
