Just watched The Shallows. Thought it was pretty good. Since the movie comes out here sometime in August, I got impatient and watched a

version of the movie. Will re-watch once the real deal is out. By the way, I could tell the movie had good sound. All the metal clanking and wave sounds where well done.

Now for Penny Dreadful. Halfway through season one, it's gorgeous and a bit slow but that plays to the style. It would appear I'm on a gothic bend, Crimson Peak, Hemlock Grove, The Awakening, Woman in Black are all relatively recent watches.

I watched one episode of Penny Dreadful and it was pretty cool! I need to watch more and Eva Green is a bonus!

I am going to watch Green Room in a bit and I am looking forward to seeing this!

Watched the Ultimate edition of BvS last night. Holy long movie, Batman. I enjoyed it. Thought the additional footage helped tell a more complete story. Plus the audio is the bees knees.

I really want to check this out because it looks like a good shark movie!

Oh since we are experiencing high heat and humidity here in some part of the states, how humid has it been in the UAE? I haven't been there in a long time and there was days where the humidity was nuts! I want to take my family there one day because I had a really good time in your country! I want to check out Ferrari land too!

I think I got halfway through season one and then my Netflix discs started dying. Need to get caught up. Eva Green is one of my favs.

Watched Green Room last night. I love the survival horror genre, especially when it is tried to be done realistically. Showing how "normal" people might actually behave, or have to grow, to handle whatever horror at hand. I have to admit the recent death of Anton Yelchin added a bit of a pall to the movie for me though. I can't decide if Imogen Poots is hot or not. She seems to change in every movie I see with her. Not hot at all n this.

Finished "Stranger Things" last night. That was great fun. I liked how well they made it very 80's right down to an analog synth score. Winona got better as the series moved along. Maybe she had the flu when they started. Four chocolate puddings.

I am glad most are enjoying or did enjoy Stranger Things! It just got picked up for season two on NF!

I just finished Green Room and what a romp this film was! Really tense with a good script and enough blood to satisfy most! Man I am going to miss Anton! That kid was a great actor! 4.5 Doc Marten Boots!

I also did Bone Tomahawk last night and that was pretty fun! I liked the western setting and cannibals eerie screams! 3 Western revolvers!

Surprisingly, it has not been as humid as previous summers. Some days are really humid but most of them are not too humid (relatively). The heat however, that is another story. This afternoon the temp was 45 C. Last week or the week before that, our car was displaying 50 C on one of the days. I sweat really easily. If I spend some time outside, even a bit, I am drenched with sweat.

By the way, I am a foreigner living here. From Pakistan originally and been living here since 2000.

Noticed one of the theater chains here opened a Barco Escape theater. They are showing the new Star Trek movie in it.

Dude that is hot! Anything over 120F is just nuts! Good to here the weather in UAE is somewhat normal for this time of year!

Does "Green Room" take place near Oinkland or is it BC standing in for Oregon? It's at the box in DVD and I have a freebie via Jolly Time good for a DVD or credit on a BD. I see the box is doing a "me too" and trying streaming again.

Right now it's 106 outside in the mid San Fernando Valley but the humidity is not bad, it's summer we're used to it. Was talking to relatives in southern Wisconsin a couple of hours ago there it's 95 and I can imagine the humidity.
Saw the new Ghostbusters last night, it's very funny. The trailers are not showing you the good stuff, there are a lot of little jokes in this as well the bigger ones, the more you pay attention to the dialogue the more you'll get out of it. And as with Marvel films, don't leave till the credits are done.
" The Horned One" approves, he got to see it at Sony . We had to pay . Yea it was worth it. THO has connections I never will

"If you build it they will come.." Ok, what is this "It" you speak of and who, are they???! Do I want to know?...
