Next the fangs (and some heaving bosoms) came out to play in The Brides of Dracula.

Last, but certainly not least was the epic sword & sandal thriller, The Viking Queen.

Looked it up and it's what happens if you just ask an app like FFMpeg to encode 5.1 audio to stereo AAC. You need to add some options otherwise dialog isn't loud enough. It depends on who is doing the encoding. Hulu may have used an intern.

"Road Games" on Netflix was last night's choice. A bit of a Hitchcockian thriller filmed in France but mostly in English and subtitles for the French. Not bad. Three and a half road kills.

Just as a heads-up, I've noticed trailers.apple.com has better quality trailers than YouTube (1080p).

Bored around 9:30 and not finding anything I really wanted to watch on my streaming apps I rented "Green Room" on VUDU in HD. Thanks for recommendation! What a great little film and such a cut above many on the indie films I've been watching lately. VUDU also has a featurette available and it's free so you can even watch it without renting the movie if you've already seen the film elsewhere. Four and a half song lists.

Suicide Squad was pretty good, nothing amazing and by the numbers but what else can you do with a group of bad guys with nearly zero super powers? Leto Joker was good and I'm looking forward to see where they take him, this wasn't his movie. They kept the faceless horde of massive doom in check quite well in comparison to other franchises. A great B movie overall, like Marvel's offerings. Hopefully DC can get a few Capt America tier flicks out, they're easily the better of the MCU releases.

I get the feeling Leto's version of The Joker is one where Eisenberg's version of Lex Luthor should avoid at all costs.
Come to think about it, that may apply to all versions of The Joker. Yes, I do think they will cross paths in a future film.

"If you build it they will come.." Ok, what is this "It" you speak of and who, are they???! Do I want to know?...

I would say most definitely yes! I watch probably Exorcist I and III out of the whole anthology set. There are some cool moments and George C Scott's performance is great!

No Man's Sky, certainly is interesting. It's like how you imagined video games when you were a kid. If I made a game it'd do X and X and X, and then Y. Crafting, monster hunting, aliens, dogfights, exploration, strange planets, the whole nine.

My PC is showing its age. Can't run the new Tomb Raider so well so I went for the console. It's a six year old so in dog years that's like 57.

For something really different check out "Baskin" on Netflix. It's a Turkish horror film that gets really good in the last act. And the story is told a little differently than the usual horror stuff. I like horror from other cultures. Four demi-tasses.

Darling
http://imdb.com/rg/an_share/title/title/tt4126394/

Turn down the lights and crank the sound. This is quite a ride. Stellar score and cinematography. Lots of symbolism ranging from satanic to Cthulhu.

Been wavering on this for awhile now, so maybe its time. I could use a break from the Olympics anyway.

Yep, Darling is a solid watch. Reminded me a little of Lovely Molly, but much more artsy and atmospheric. Well done on all levels.

I watched Darling this afternoon and I thought I wasn't going to like it. But I let it simmer and this movie delivers on different levels! It is kind of a throw back to Alfred Hitchcock mixed in with a bit of Under the Skin. For a NF steam the sound wasn't bad but I would like to hear a lossless sound via Bd! Good find and this is a perfect movie for HorrorFest!

Spoiler!

Yesterday I watched The Boy and it was pretty cool! The twist isn't what I was expecting and it delivered!
