Yes sir! But even without the many closeups of her assets, the movie would be a solid watch.

If you haven't seen "Knock, Knock" and have Hulu it's now available there.

This may not be news in this thread, but I thought I would share anyway. I intended on using my free trial to Shudder last year (or maybe it was the year before) but never followed through. Anyway, fast forward to today and I noticed that Amazon offers the Shudder Channel as one of their add-on subscriptions. Start with a 7-day free trial and its $4.99/month after that.

I'm definitely getting this for October.

Here's a little promotional banner I made for this year's October Horror Movie Marathon! I took this picture of my daughters at the Stanley Hotel (the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining") while standing in room 217, which King himself slept in!

I just canceled my annual Shudder subscription last week. I would have kept it if they made their app compatible with my Nexus Player. I've been wanting to retire my old Roku for a long time and Shudder was the only app that I needed to keep it around for. The Nexus Player exceeds the minimum requirements for the Shudder Android app so I emailed Shudder support before renewing my subscription last year. They told me they knew about the compatibility issue and the next app update would add support for Nexus Players. I renewed my subscription and a full year later there is still no app for the Nexus Players.

I canceled mine to save a buck but got an email that it was reactivated so I'll keep it until October is over and then go back to miser mode.

With Android TV a developer needs to implement the Leanback launcher and features. It isn't hard but sometimes understanding Google's documentation can be a mystery in and of itself.

I finally got around to watching "Burying the Ex" on Netflix with the late Anton Yelchin and directed by Joe Dante. If you haven't seen it yet it makes a good Halloween comedy. Three and a half devil genies.

Shudder is a branch of DramaFever. DramaFever released their Android TV app more than a year ago. They know how to do it, or at least they know who to ask for help, but for some reason they decided not to do it. Shudder isn't the only one making decisions like that. HBO owns Cinemax. HBO GO has been available on Roku and Android TV for years but they still don't have a MAX GO app for either platform.

DramaFever apps may be done by contractors who don't have access to the other developer's source. Or the Shudder Android UI is going to be pretty tough to change to Leanback. Or there is not enough money in the budget for it (often the real reason). The Shield TV can go into "mouse mode" for apps that don't have Leanback but your app won't show up on the list of apps on the main screen and you have to go into settings to start them.

Contractors makes sense. I didn't think of that.

I'm familiar with launching apps from the settings menu. That's how I launch Chrome browser. My Logitech K400r works great on the NP.

Watched The Neon Demon last night. Had some pretty messed up stuff. Not exactly horror but weird. By the way, I would say this movie is great to test your display/projector. The movie has excellent use of neon-like colors and dark scenes. Pretty trippy visuals as well.

It's messed up enough I couldn't talk about it with real people. Wife should love it.

Well you may remember I took a break from internet last year and I'm feeling the same itch. Ditched FB last week. Election year people are terrible on there, rather run from Jason out by the lake than see anymore Killary or Drumpf. I'm getting weirder as I age I guess. I ride a desk for my day job and I read the same 6 sites all day and I'm feeling in a rut. Basically need a few new habits that don't involve keyboards or screens. Like my new chainsaw. I'm ready to take down some crepe myrtles.

We need a Halloween HorrorFest roll call in October 1st! I hope to see everyone on here watching Horror movies! I see Bob is finally back and I hope to see everyone participating next month!

I am with you Darth with all the crap on FB. I would rather see horror movies than the ugly 'horror' of words exchanged between folks. Luckily I keep up with movies and reading car stuff online.

I am pretty excited to watch The Blair Witch this week and I hope to report back with good news!
