I dug it too. It's equal to the original despite the manufactured outrage from the teat latched man babies and their movie induced PTSD.

Extra points for being super clean and having a couple of legit scary scenes. My daughter loves it and Patty.

Also, holy cow. Luke Cage is better than Daredevil.

It's got a The Wire meets Shaft kind of vibe. I love Daredevil but this is different like Jessica Jones was but in a good way.

Way too quiet for opening night ladies and gents. I just got home from my game and am completely stoked. This is my 8th year doing this and its almost embarrassing how much I look forward to October every year (and in this night in particular). Had some beers with my crew on the drive home and settled in with the cocktail below to set this sh$t off.

Called on YouTube for tonight's entertainment. Hell Night- 1981

Cheers!!

I planned on starting my first movie at midnight. I didn't want to fall asleep half way through so I decided to take a power nap. I woke up at 5:30AM.

Kicked off my marathon at midnight last night!

1. The Boy (FTV)
Woman on the run from an abusive relationship lands the perfect job at a remote creepy mansion as the nanny to a strange old couple's little boy. Only problem is that the boy isn't a living human, he's a creepy porcelain-faced life-sized doll. When the elderly couple goes on holiday and leaves the nanny and the doll-boy alone, strange things start to happen. This movie pushes all the right buttons, with a gorgeously creepy old house which manages to be large and claustrophobic at the same time, and some unsettling moments with the titular boy-doll. My only gripe is that all of this just seems too familiar, so don't expect new ground to be broken. But as part of this October horror movie marathon, this film fits like a comfortable creepy old pair of slippers.

3.5 out of 5 stars.
