I think it would be a cool addition to the Home Theater market especially movies that are made for VR. Or just plain movies would be huge on a VR set.

I just finished season 1. The show is a lot of fun. The av is stellar. The music sounds great. Sometimes their musical choices are even older and more obscure than me, but is still cool.

Looks like season 2 comes out pretty soon but I can't tell if NF will have right away or if there is an extended delay.

Just finished Blair Witch and man what a treat this film is on the audio front! Atmos dudes are going to love it! It is a Lionsgate so they down grade the audio for the rental disc. 3rd act was nuts!

Word! The audio is nuts.

On another note, and off-topic, I just watched Sully. Awesome movie with equally awesome sound.

"Tales of Halloween" was a hoot! Well recommended for this year's 31 days list. There's some fun cameos in it too. Four carved pumpkins.

For the Uwe Boll fans here Netflix has added "Rampage: President Down."

One more thing for my holiday haul was a Wolverine dual 8mm Digital Movie Maker. Basically a telecine for the masses to transfer those old 8mm films to video. Fun device and yesterday I scored an 8mm editor at one of the used goods stores downtown. That will make it easier to fix splices on the family films.

Well today was one of those days I wished I stayed in bed. Just venting and the topper was Fedex damaged my new screen! The silver lining is my replacement screen will be here tomorrow. First world issues but think I had enough issues for the day! That bottle of Macallen whiskey 🥃 is calling my name!

Has anyone seen The Magicians on Syfy? They are re-running Season 1 beginning on January 7th and the season 2 premiere is January 25th. I didn't watch it the first time around and was wondering if it's any good.
I'm only one episode in, but I think I'm in for the series. Watch the first episode and see what you think.

I watched the first episode on Netflix and thought it was OK but it seemed a bit Harry Potter-ish. I think I might give Westworld a shot then come back to The Magicians.

I think THO protected my Macallan bottle last night. I tripped over a kids toy and dropped my bottle on the hardwood floor. I thought as I was falling the bottle was going to break. But nope, just a dent in the floor and the bottle was unscathed! That drink was one of the best drinks/whiskey I have had!

I've watched one episode of "The Magicians" season one on Netflix, I might try another one. They have a UK Channel 4 series rebranded as "Original" called "Crazyhead" which is a dark comedy about two young women chasing after demons. I liked the first episode.

I followed that with "The Fury", the 1978 Brian DePalma film I seemed to have missed back in my movie going days. Seemed weak compared to "Carrie."

I'm keeping my eye out for "Don't Breathe" BD to be returned to one of the convenient boxes. I have another freebie coming.

The first part is a retread of the first but the end was pretty cool I thought. I still need to watch the commentary because the director goes off about how upset he was with critics panning his movie. I get being upset but I probably wouldn't go off. I would just make another horror flick! The sound design is off the chain though for a horror movie!

Now you know the true value of padding and carpeting I can relate to the tripping over the kids toys, I have a nephew who like cars, lots of hot wheels sized cars, they roll...everywhere.
Glad you are OK and we will drink in your honor, wait..WE??? Gotta check the Guiness and make sure it's still there. (2 mins later). Ya it's safe.

Lol Scuba Steve or Diver Dan!
Well it was a combo of Nerf gun, Duplo Lego blocks and cat toys. Dunno who the culprit was. Yes part of my home is cluttered but at least all the Christmas stuff is put away!

I don't buy many comedy flicks except for some classic Lampoon flicks but I picked up SuperBad! That movie is non stop funny and I even spotted a couple (McLovin and Redhead girl) that looked like a younger version of my wife/I lmao! https://oracleoffilm.files.wordpress...3-1200-800.jpg

I watched Suicide Squad and man Margot Robbie is naughty hot! I liked Viola Davis ( me thinks) and it was ok like what Wabo said. The audio was good but the video was good for most but looked kinda washed out in parts. I bet the 4K looks great though!

Speaking of 4K CES had an Optoma 4K pj for $2799 when it releases! I hope Sony and JVC follow soon!
