Watched Shin Godzilla last night. It was a bit of a different take on the Godzilla story. Some quality destruction. Was a fun watch.

Watched or tried to "Bottom of the World" last night on Netflix. Stars Jena Malone, Douglas Smith and Ted Levine". Started nodding off near the end so will have to go back and see the part I missed.

Fulci presents Demons? First time view for me with this one. Pleasantly surprised. It all just goes nuts for like an hour.

I remember the first time I saw Demons, I thought it was just too insane, I was just not in the mood for how ridiculous it got. Now I see it in a different light, and while I won't call it a masterpiece, it's definitely a must-see for horror fans!

From the Dark was a good movie. Most shots was at night and was really dark but I guess that's the purpose hence From the Dark.

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon was nothing short of brilliant. I won't spoil much but the basic setup is a documentary style presentation that takes place in a world where Jason, Freddy, and Michael are real. It follows a journalist and crew that are documenting a killer who is setting up his murder spree. It's funny, smart, and loaded with genre call outs. If you're a fan of slashers you need to see it.

Had the opposite thoughts on Thirst. Props for it being in broad daylight instead of at night like so many in the genre. Pretty decent sci fi creature feature.

Watched Underworld: Blood Wars last night. Kate in latex, vampires and werewolves. This has all the elements of the greatest movie in the universe. With that said, it was ok. It was a fun watch.

Clark Freeman, Miles in We Go On, was fantastic. Something about him was perfect for that character. All in all a great little movie. I love when a smaller flick comes out of nowhere like this. I really liked it a lot. A more emotional Possession of Michael King if that helps describe it.

I just read that. Should make for a great movie.

Yeah, I agree. If the academy weren't a bunch of wusses.

Director Jonathan Demme has died at age 73 of esophageal cancer. While much of the credit the success of "The Silence of the Lambs" goes to Anthony Hopkins, he's only on screen for 16 minutes. Demme was one of the great directors of our time.

Watched the first three episodes of "The Handmaid's Tale" on Hulu last night thanks to living on the left coast. That might rack up enough horror for some of you. Very well done series so far.
