Thanks, I'll check it out on Roku, mute button ready. How's the ad to content ratio?

If you're looking for kitsch horror try "Fear Files... Har Mod Pe Darr" an India TV series just added on Netflix. Unfortunately I find that India productions don't do justice to their supernatural cultural heritage like the Thais do. Very funky and sometimes downright stupid, good for a laugh when drunk or stoned on ganja. Brought back memories of being in Mumbai though.

I've been watching off and on since Monday and it's a regular broadcast ratio but on the app you get one commercial then a blank "be back soon" along with station ID and now playing ads. Not bad except the Kohler Veil Toilet is coming to my house come hell or high water. On the cable feed it had a lot of local ads in place of the blank.

It's owned by Sinclair and operated by MGM. So with MGM's deep library there could be some good offerings. The important part is ad to content ratio. I even recently watched a talk about that on StreamingMedia.com. I haven't watched a VUDU "Movies on Us" recently but last fall they had it right. I was watching "The Blacklist" on NBC and even they had a decent ratio but targeting totally offbase (like I'm interested in feminine hygiene products). Streaming is a different ballgame from cable TV. Here's the Comet TV website:

I watch Comet once in a while. I caught Countess Dracula on it a few months ago. It was heavily edited for TV but you could still follow the story. I need to get that one on BD.
Comet was also running the series Dead Like Me. I never saw it before so I started recording it but they stopped running it before I could get all of the episodes. That one is on Hulu so at least I can pick up watching it again if Comet or some other channel doesn't put it back on network TV.

Those Toilets and Toto's are damn cool! Sorry I worked at a home improvement store.

Good to see you Yankeeman and I hope you both a get bit of a break so you can enjoy some movies!

Last horror movie I saw was Get Out! I need to see Devils Candy and I think I might do it tomorrow! Slither is getting the Shout! Factory treatment with James Gunn and Michael Rooker commentary!

Missing Ms. Pitt now. She had one of the best parts in the Amicus anthology flick, The House That Dripped Blood.

Back when I had Dish and they added CBS, the Sacramento CBS affiliate, owned by Sinclair, would not give me a waiver so I could have dish. Sure their propagation pattern covers this town but I live in a valley and get no OTA. I was going to fight it (Dish was going to help too) but then Comcast bought AT&T Broadband, my cable service and redid the community and offered 5 HD channels out of the starting gate. Dish only had three.

I have "Dead Like Me" in HD.... on D-VHS. I taped all those shows on a JVC D-VHS deck. That was my second HD D-VHS deck. I picked up a Panasonic deck right at Good Guys after I bought my TV in 2000. There was an update that was going to make it usable so took in back to Good Guys repair for that. They "lost" it (at the time worth quite a bit more than I paid for it). So I got them to give me a JVC 2000 camera that did 16:9 SD in its place. Unfortunately the JVC deck needs a very good head cleaning to play anything anymore and a component to HDMI converter since my Roku TV doesn't have component in.

Picked up "The Blackcoat's Daughter" at Best Buy, but the real horror is that I have to watch the Captain Underpants movie tonight with the kids at a drive-in theater. Maybe it will rain.

Neon Maniacs looks cool. I'll probably watch that soon. I fell off a ladder yesterday and my head feels like I'm wearing a helmet that's too tight.

Nope. Spoke with a sports medicine pal and a PRN, they said if anything gets worse go immediately. I'm not having any concussion symptoms or pain beyond the bruise on my head. It was a short fall, from a 3 foot ladder, butt first then head hit a table, across the back of my head at about ear level. Never blacked out or anything. Tomorrow is the 48 hour mark and if it gets worse I'll go get scanned. Last night was the worst, felt like a helmet on too tight, today is just minor soreness if I turn my head or sneeze, which is a lot because I've had a cold all week. #sadstoryover
