It was a really well done movie. It should look and sound fantastic on BD.

Yeah, that battle was crazy. Wait till you get to season 7...
Spoiler!

Just started season 7 now!

"The North Never Forgets!"

Cersie doom plot was badass! She is so bad, I gotta love her! I didn't like those 7 Zealots anyway!

I talked to someone at Palm around 1999 and he was commuting from Danville to Santa Clara and said the commute was already a nightmare.

Here's the film you've all been waiting for and I see it's already the most popular one on Netflix via InstantWatcher.

I watched it last night and it has some great chills in it and a well done film.

I know I posted about the lackluster AMC Horrorfest length/schedule but TCM has an awesome old school horror movie list that is great! They even have Poltergeist on Halloween nite! Rejoice!!!

Kind of funny, a cable channel carrying movies OTA TV stations used to run, and most of the movies on OTA stations running in glorious SD , just make you want to run, except for Svenghoulie.

Been watching The Exorcist on Fox ? In the old days of streaming most things FOX went to Netflix, now most of them go to Hulu, but not everything. Amazon Prime has picked up past season streaming of The Exorcist. The new season starts on FOX September 29th. So you'll have October well supplied with exorcisms.

I watched it when it originally aired, but stalled after episode 6. Is it worth finishing?

It's weird but I find SD helps the older movies in the effects department and even some newer ones.

Just got my order from Amazon yesterday including my 5 port HDMI switch box (which I badly needed) but also I took it as an opportunity to load up on a few horror movies including Creepshow 2, Hostel Part 3 (to complete my set), the new Phantasm five-movie collection DVD set, Lights Out, Annabelle, and the Hellraiser six-movie collection (which has parts 3 and up, also to complete my set). Not buying a lot of movies anymore since streaming is becoming more the norm (and also less clutter!) but I do like to have physical copies of some movies so that I know I will always have them.

Quite true in some instances, SD gives older movies their original "feel" and can add to the atmosphere sometimes to newer movies! The old school look.

I should have said SD bit starved digital subchannels, some SD on DVD and streaming can look decent.

Also got Wonder Woman from Amazon today. Looking forward to it. And, because they were cheap...also got Split, 31 and Don't Breathe.

4k Wonder Woman ran out via Amazon! I started a new job this week so I am hoping Target has a copy on Friday!

Almost caught up on GoT, really good show and must be killer in surround sound!

I am going to bust out some of my DVDs of horror flicks and watch them on a smaller tv. They don't look too bad and yeah the older movies look quite good in 480p!

I see a user trashed 31 on IMDB, so it must be good.

I've seen both 31 and Don't Breathe.......in fact, I did 31 on Halloween last year. It was ok. Some good things and some bad things. I think I was too pumped up for it since the release was delayed for like a year. So it was bound to be somewhat of a disappointment no matter what. There were rumors during the time prior to its release that RZ had to cut quite a bit from the movie to get an R rating......and that there was going to be an unrated version available at some point in the future. Well, I waited long enough and there doesn't appear to be an unrated release on the horizon. So, I said eff it and picked up the theatrical release on the cheap. I have all of RZs movies, so it was going to be part of my collection one way or another.

Don't Breathe was pretty good but I haven't seen 31 yet. I've hardly watched any horror moves over the past year so I'm really looking forward to checking some new ones and dusting off some of my catalog favorites. Hopefully my region free player still works, haven't used that thing since last October.

As I mentioned, I dumped AMC from my cable TV subscription a few months back so Turner Classic Movies will be my go-to channel this year for horror movies on television in the month of October! Looks like they have an awesome line-up of films with a lot of stuff I have not seen before. I will be off work October 31st so I'll be tuned into TCM all day on October 31st then will watch my own movie later in the evening.

I watched "Beacon Point" on Hulu and if you want to watch it be sure to have crackers on hand because it's kind cheesy. It's not all that bad just not great. It's about a group of hikers that hike into an Appalachian trail and experience something mysterious. It's a mix of sci-fi and horror.

Amazon appears to have added a metric trumpload of horror. It's all over the map in quality and their interface doesn't make it easy to filter through it but it should be a good source in October.
