Now if I had that on DVD I would not admit to owning it. I saw it on VHS years ago when VHS ruled the Earth.
Some of the above are great classics for sound in my books.
Black Rain now the bluray is not close to theatrical the surrounds sound like they have been faked into stereo surrounds by stripping the left and right fronts and lairing them onto the original mono surrounds.
I had the region 2 DVD years ago around 2000? I thought the surrounds was screwed up as they only faded in as and when and took the DVD back to shop.
I now know that is was intentional as 70mm or some early SR-D releases have the surrounds active as and when and in Dolby Stereo matrix the surrounds all the channels are always active except 70mm or SR-D totally different ballgame.
I might buy the early region 1 DVD as I prefer original true Dolby film mixes after all that is what home cinema is all about recreating the original experience in the home!
Thelma & Louise I like that Dolby mix nice atmospheric sounds of being on the road with two girls.
Black Hawk Down "fking Irene" need I say more.
LEGEND only seen it once on VHS not again please.
ALIEN is the cats hairy bollocks, hands down classic sci-fi!
1492: Conquest of Paradise I'd sooner jump to the end credits and wait for the Dolby Stereo SR logo now that was the coolest part of the whole film for me.
