I know most of you all probably already know this film is being made, and have seen the teaser online. New news is that Timothy Dalton has joined the cast.

Timothy Dalton will voice Mr. Pricklepants in TS3; his character is described as being "a thespian hedgehog toy".

Full Trailer up

See trailer 3. It will be 3D. I don't really feel good about that, but that's the way things will be from now on I guess.

It's not like you won't be able to see it in 2D if you want.

But who wants to see a digital film in analog? The only digital theaters it will be playing in will be the 3D ones and by me they charge $3 more anyways.

I'll probably just wait for the Blu-Ray again.

My 2 year old son has just gotten into the whole Toy Story thing. this will probably be the first movie That he will see in a theater. Having said that, it will have to be in 2D. A 2 year old will barely be able to sit through the movie if at all. Wearing glasses...

I have, with good results. It's not like 35mm film is incapable of reproducing HD content.

Luckily, local digital theatres give me a choice (e.g., 'Avatar' is playing digitally in 2D and 3D, sometimes in the same megaplex).

I think this will be the first Disney/Pixar movie that will be IMAX 3D so there's that option as well. Although in this case I think the digital 3D will be the better option. As I said I'd rather see neither- this isn't the the type of movie I'd go out of my way to see in 3D, and certainly not for $12+.

More interesting to me personally is that this article

http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/03/16/...e-bow-renamed/

indicates that Toy Story 3 will be mastered with a 7.1 channel audio mix. Above all, I hope Pixar sticks to their stellar record of delivering movies with fantastic stories, but I am pretty jazzed about what they might do sound wise.

^ Other than Cars, A Bugs Life, and Ratatouille (which aren't bad by any means), I've found every Pixar film to hold up very well to repeated viewings because of the great stories. I'm not really worried about TS3 not doing the same. Those first three are just their weakest films, in my opinion.

The fine folks at Pixar have not produced a clunker yet...I surely don't expect TS3 to break that stellar string...

Indeed. A buddy of mine is a supervising animator at Pixar and while he is very closed lip about the details he has said enough for me to have confidence that this will be on par if not better than the other TS movies.

I believe Cars 2 is next on the agenda but don't quote me.

There were rumors there was supposed to be a 'Monsters, Inc. 2' in the pipeline as well, though I don't know whether that was cancelled or not. Why doesn't Pixar make the sequel we really want to see: 'The Incredibles 2'.

That's a big fat +1. MI2 or The Incredibles 2...either one. Or both.

We are seeing this tomorrow. Nice to have the ticket vouchers from the TS1 and TS2 blurays. Pending how the lines are, we may even shoot for this to be our youngests (4) first 3d film.

Still, if I had a choice I would prefer a new, original, Pixar film over TS3

Well, I could be wrong, but I don't recall seeing a movie at Rotten Tomatoes be at 100% with 108 reviews in.
