Good to know. I've been patiently waiting. I'd rather quality over a rushed product to satisfy the audience's lack of patience.

I hate it when they make us wait so long for a new season....the hype wears off for me tbh

Maybe when there's like 1-2 weeks left until it airs I'll get excited again

Has anyone ever tried searching for their name in Google Images? You will find that, for those of us honest enough to post under our real names, that every picture you have commented on or posted in any forum shows up in such a search. This thread constitutes a lot of them, at least for me. There really is no privacy anymore.

There's no way the internet will ever be a civil place unless people are required to post under their real identities, but if you do then you are spied on relentlessly. Hence probably the internet will never be a civil place.

It's why I don't do much with Facebook. Have to use my real name there. More and more places, newspaper comment sections and certain blogs for instance, are requiring posters to use their Facebook identities. In a way, that's good, in that it enforces a certain civility (unless you're such a jerk you just don't care what people think of you). OTOH, it does open yourself up for the spying and invasion of privacy to which Dean is referring.

We're old school here on PW. No Facebook, No Twitter (don't understand those hashbrowns), no Instagram, etc. A couple of forums like this are the closest I get to online social clubs. But I digress, as Bon Scott once crooned, a whole lotta Rosie.

And J Law too.

Essentially, the day you were born your privacy ended. If you have Firefox, download this add-on. You will be amazed how much you are being tracked.

Everyone was always being tracked to some degree, but at some point a difference in scale becomes a difference in kind, and we are long past that point now. Before, there might have been companies or governments tracking you for their own gain, but there had to be some gain before it was worth it and the means of collection weren't typically cheap. And they would probably tend to keep it for themselves, or charge good money to get it (a reasonable disincentive for the most part), leaving a financial transaction that they obtained that information (another reasonable disincentive or least culpability trail.) Now, there are companies for whom tracking in and of itself (of everyone, writ large) and making that information public is how they make their money (well indirectly, via ads sold.) It's a completely different thing. I could probably find out more about most folks here (given a little starting info) for free, in a few hours, than probably could have been found out about you twenty years ago, by professionals, after spending enough money that they'd have to have a really good reason to go looking.

Ultimately I think that, if the people who lived pre such times don't bring to bear enough political pressure to do something about it, the next generation will just grow up thinking it's normal, and there's no way that's a good thing for our way of life. It's truly Orwellian, I have to say.

Not wanting to get too off track here, especially here, you can also install Ghostery on Firefox to block tracking. Excellent addon. Onward with the pics.

I set up IE to block all third party cookies, and have pretty high security settings, but that doesn't really much matter when every interaction you have (if you are honest and use your real name, or even if your name is in the post somewhere, or you company name which can be linked to your real name, and so on) is searched constantly for connections and content.

I just noticed a few weeks ago my forum profile page as nearly 1,600 visits. I know I'm not an interesting enough person for all those views to be from forum members. Our info is being data mined right here.

I tried doing this and here is what I came up with:

Obviously this photo was taken on one of my better days, I think I look quite good, all things considered!
