Yes, that's the title currently. Anyway, with all the trouble over at MGM there was talk that this film was going to be delayed or could have problems with production. However, it appears some interesting news has come through.. and that is that Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) is signed up to direct the next installment and production could be fast-tracked as a result.

I don't disagree. I really enjoyed Connery in his time, but it's hard for me to watch those movies now. The question is: If you had a BD player back in the 60s and 70s would have bought them.
I absolutely would have bought Connery's Bond movies back in the day if BDs had been available then. Unfortunately, even DVDs didn't come along until years after the first few Bond films that starred Connery had been released. Thus, I made a management decision not to buy them on Disc.
I was lucky enough to score the Bond 50 box set back when Amazon had it for $99 on a lightning deal. All 22 films. That works out to just over $4.50 a movie. My kids and I are having a blast working our way thru the Bond films. I do find myself chucking at how dated some of it is. But Connery still rocks! We just finished You Only Live Twice.

NF now shows ready to ship out 3/12.. no biggie when I see it. I've been let down too many freakin times from big blockbusters so not holding my breath on this one.
It does tie the outfit together but I still have reservations about his bonafides. First, I can't be sure that he has a genuine Caucasian in his hand. Second, and more importantly, where is the oriental rug? High marks, though, for the authenticity of the sweater and shower shoes. They are so authentic, I'm inclined to overlook everything else.
Why people keep harping about DC for over 6 years now, is beyond any logic. He is here to stay not surprisingly and seems all the bitching and moaning added to nothing more in relevance as a single cow fart in open space.
Now as for the Bond women, they have been quiet a disappointment to me, since the Brosnan movies ended. Notable exception going to Caterina Murino in CR. Well it seems we will see more of Harris after all, but all others are gone as they normally are, so no reason to be too blue about them.
Having said that, this film was a departure for a Bond movie and it was a welcome one in most cases. Yes we seen M in danger or former agents to turn "bad" , but this time they actually felt real. I can't say I was too happy with Bardem's approach here as he looked and acted more like the Joker from Batman, then the rather mature villains we've seen from the previous 2 films. However his motives were rather singular , as opposed to the typical worldwide domination, and his stop at nothing style to achieve that goal was rather insane, when you realize what he was after. Still this was among the better installments in the series, and it seems that the reboot is complete to get back into business.
Other than the one with Lazenby I've seen them all. Some are better than others but I can always watch any bond movie any time and enjoy it. I Especially loved the gadgets. It's because of bond that i asked for a jet pack for christmas for years...and still waiting

My brother in law said the same thing, it's his favorite. I own the DVD box set so ill have to check it out. Though they're all unopened so maybe I could sell it and put that towards the BR box set.
Just watched Skyfall and really liked it. I loved all the old references to the past films, just wish Connery was up to playing the part they had for him. He would've made that character better. Liked that they delved into Bond's past, that was cool. Maybe they'll do more in the future. The end really made me smile as I figured it out just before the character's reveal. My wife didn't get it b/c she hasn't seen but a few of the movies so I guess we have some work to do
As much as I love the older movies, I really like Craig and the way they portray Bond as more real and gritty yet still suave with less campiness.
