This is a perfect example of why I actually listen to people when they come to a consensus about a movie being bad, and don't bother to see it.

Well I don't, I've seen movies where a numbers of members don't like it and I actually enjoyed it. I'm prepared to take the risk.

In this case, yes Robert. Im an open minded person when it comes to films and I like to give everything a chance. I did it with this film and have to agree its rubbish. I did it with Ronin 47 also, been told its rubbish and actually enjoyed it. smile.gif

Hey, no risk necessary. Listen to Uncle Wabo. He'll always steer you right.

Watched tonite.

This movie isn't nearly as bad as its reputation suggests.
Nothing fantastic, but nothing horrible either.

Standard CGI popcorn monsterfest, with lots of eye and ear candy.
God-blessed Gargoyles vs. Devil-cursed Demons, with Frankie kickin' a$$ and taking names.

The gorgeous Yvonne Strahovski (from Dexter) makes everything go down easier.
Sadly, she doesn't take her kit off.....

Anyway, for mindless and largely forgettable entertainment (adult beverages encouraged), it worked for me.

it's actually very similar to Underworld (for good reason since it's made/written/produced by the same people), and I tend to agree with oink, not "that" bad. Is it good? Not really but I've seen worse. Slick production too. But if it had Kate Beckinsale instead of Aaron Eckhart, I would have seen it 10 times already and I'm sure Wabo would have loved it too

I think Eckhart did OK....maybe KB could be The Bride in the sequel?
I'm not really into necrophilia, but I wouldn't hesitate with Kate.

Underworld was rated R and had some quality gore going for it. This had an hour and a half of dullness. With that said, if Kate was running around in tight latex it will get the Wabo seal of approval.

In her first starring role, she took her shirt off....it was nothing special.

Looking at this photo, I believe she has had surgical enhancements done.

At home for a snow (sleet) day. Saw this on NF streaming and thought what the hell. It's only been on a few minutes and I can tell it sucks. But it's too late. I've already flushed. My heels are dug in this turd and I'm riding it all the way down.

EDIT: Started doubting my resolve at 15 minutes in. Turned it off at 25 minutes. I'll be reading the rest of the day, trying to get back the IQ points I lost.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.
