National Lampoon's European Vacation.
Every sequel to the original Planet of the Apes got progressively worse.
So did Smokey and the Bandit 2 and 3.
I haven't made up my mind about all the Police Academy movies.

It was nowhere near as funny as the first one, or as enjoyable. It was on ok movie, but the laughs just weren't there. If this were the first movie, there would not have been a second. I'd be more comfortable with recommending a matinee vs. an evening show.
