Just watched this on BD from Netflix. This movie is a hoot, smartly written and executed. The shakey-cam is kept to a minimum too. Very cool trolls in spite of low-budget FX. Stunning Norwegian landscapes are just icing on the cake.

Highly recommended, this may become a cult classic.

Didn't expect to see this thread pop up again. I loved this movie. Thought it was going to be a major B movie letdown, but was very pleasantly surprised.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

I had heard good things about the audio so I thought I'd check it out based on that. Ah, who am I kidding. I love a creature feature.tongue.gif

What I enjoyed about this was the characterization and some back story on the Trolls. Gave it a flavor of realism and humanity. Most movies like this the creature is a mindless blob. Basically, these trolls were that but there was a sense of sadness about them. Was kind of cool and different.

Those are the things that kept this movie from ending up like one of those typical SyFy channel made-for-TV movies. Amazing what a little bit of character depth will do to raise a screenplay from mediocrity to something more engaging.

Yeah I'm said too that I paid for the streaming for this while it was still in theaters at the time. Should have waited till now when it's free for Prime members. Oh well.......
