I want this but I don't think it's worth $400.

Neither do I, but I am sure there are some heavy hitters out there who do.

BTW, have you picked up the new SRT8 yet?
Portland Oregon's biggest dealer has them listed at 63k!
I paid 40k for my 2007.

In spite of the fact my 2011 Laredo Hemi drives like a luxury car, not a chance I would cough up 63k for the new gen.

I drove it and like it but since it is the 1st gen. I'm going to wait. I've read that the AMG five speed will be replaced by a 7 speed. Even though it feels more solid than the last gen. I can't get over the fact that it's acceleration is a little slower. Hopefully, the engine will be bumped to 500hp to compete with the BMW X5M and Porsche Cayenne TT. Ours does and I was expecting this new one would, too. But so far it hasn't---performance wise.

The asking price is too steep I'm sure it can be had for $50K once the newness wears off. I got my fully loaded 07 for $45K incl. tax and license.

I still have my 2007 (anyone interested in buying?) and have compared it closely to my 2011.

1. The SRT is much, much faster...it ain't even close (in spite of the new Hemi's rating).
I'm sure the lighter weight has a lot to do with it.
2. The ride of the 2011 is VASTLY superior (and it is much quieter).
The SRT seems crude in comparison.
3. Braking and handling goes to the SRT.
Although the 2011 is pretty good IMO.

The price of the new SRT is 30k above what I paid for my Hemi Laredo....I really doubt it could be twice the vehicle.

Watched the DVD last night.
A superb documentary that really draws you in...very skillfully made IMO.

As good as it is I have to wonder if this would appeal to non-racing fans....
For fans like me, it is a fascinating look behind the veil of Grand Prix racing.

Senna had a huge impact on what has become modern F1.
Safety has improved dramatically as the result of his death.

IMO, it is something of a scandal that the EXACT reason for his crash has never been properly explained (equipment failure or driver error).
I get the feeling the reason is because vested interests have been protected.

BTW, one problem with the DVD is there are no English subs for the very interesting featurette.

in other words equipment failure

this $400 set is insane, I want it but I won't ....I'll probably get the regular Blu-ray version though.

Agreed.

I hope the subs are fixed...
At crucial times in the featurette the spoken language would shift from English to something else and there is no way to tell exactly WHAT the story is...

For those interested, a biopic is in development with support from Senna's family.

The drivers are a small part of the event in the eyes of the sponsors and owners. For the fans, it's the usual attachment to the drivers (players) and the race (game) and not equipment to be discarded at a moments notice. Same Ol'

True, that.

BTW, this season in F1 is the most unpredictable (and exciting) in many years.
5 races so far, with 5 different teams winning, with 5 different drivers.
Alonso and Vettel are tied for the lead, but there a bunch of guys breathing down their necks.
There is no favorite team or driver going forward....no one has a clue how it will all shake out.
In fact, I am reconsidering my decision to skip the Austin race this year....there is a very good chance it will be a titanic struggle.

So true

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...
