I still love the film, but can only imagine what it would be were it made twenty years ago when the r rated sci fi action film was king.

For real.

I'm going to watch RoboCop when I get home.

My favorite Vin Diesel random fact is:

In an average living room there are 1,242 objects Vin Diesel could use to kill you, including the room itself.

Don't believe everything on the Interwebz! A duck's quack DOES echo!

I think I heard that one as a "Jack Bauer random fact" a few years back.

My favorite was "You woke up this morning because Jack Bauer let you live."

Yeah, some mixed together. Some of the early Chuck Norris facts started as Vin Diesel facts.

The Mr. T facts tend to be pretty unique, though.

New trailer for Riddick. I remember back in 01 I was so pumped for Pitch Black and couldn't wait to see it in the theaters and when I did felt a little let down. It could have been a lot better IMO with a more action oriented director. This to me looks like Pitch black 2..

I'm a fan of Pitch Black & Chronicles, but not sure about this one myself. Isn't this just Pitch black all over again? Whats the point?

What happened to Chronicles and the underverse?

I'm pretty sure I saw a clip somewhere showing Riddick on the throne. Have to assume that it will be addressed in the new film.

+2 - Chronicles was supposed to be a 3 story series. Pitch Black was not part of the series, but a fine prequel.
Along came hollywood BS and the last film was marketed as a sequel, etc, etc. FUBAR in the highest order to
any fans of the story or concept. Twohy is a very creative writer & director, but treated as a 2nd,3rd tier in the
current Michael Bay Cluster Fk of SciFi Action abortions sold today. They carry on in spite of the mess and hope
to salvage some small portion of the project. It has no chance of reaching it's potential.

Yes.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
It starts off with Riddick their leader, but fatigued from the constant barrage of would-be killers who want to take his throne. He ends up telling them to BLANK off and just leaves.

Plus, I know that Karl Urban reprises his character as well. (Briefly, I'll assume.)

So exile perhaps? Guess it could work, but with the lore from the previous film, seems kinda impracticable.
