An international trailer for a new, intriguing sci-fi debut feature from filmmaker Juan Diego Solanas.

If that isn't a computer gimmick for a movie, I don't know what is.

I watched this last night and loved it. The visuals are absolutely stunning but it's not just eye candy - I enjoyed the simple boy meets girl story as well. There are many logic holes throughout so if viewed as "sci-fi" you can rip it apart, but it works if you just sit back and enjoy it as a fable.

It was converted to 3D for the blu-ray release. Not one of the better conversions so I'd recommend just watching in 2D and enjoy the brilliant art design.

Heard lots of good things about this. It's def a big sleeper, reminds me a lot of Equilibrium when it came on dvd back in 02. Virtually nobody knew nothing about it so hope it will deliver in that fashion.

It's a "very long wait" in my NF cue so hope they will send me a copy soon.

If you liked The Adjustment Bureau and Equilibrium I don't see how you cannot enjoy this whole heartily. And you have to really bow your head for the creators and writers of this movie because it pushes the envelope of your imagination and makes it believable and works in this bi-polar parallel planets under the vehicle of a pure homeless romantic for the ages.

It's just a tad highly Sci-Fi fantasy for the average movie goer which may not be able to wrap how these 2 opposing planets gravity functions but the basic story of boy meets girl/Romeo & Juliet, Heather & Heath cliff will manifest to every one who has a heart.

I just didn't like the abrupt ending which to me felt like there's a part 2 waiting to be seen. But yeah, great premise and ingenuity. The 2 young lovers Kirsten Dunst and the unknown young man had great chemistry and pulled off a great hopeless romantic story.

Well, that rules me out, then. Both those movies were atrocious.

Tried to watch this but gave up after about 20 min. Some of the worst writing I've had the displeasure of seeing in a long while.

This movie reminded me of a blend of 'Gattaca' and 'Safety Not Guaranteed'. The visuals are there, and like others have said, if you can avoid overly nitpicking (especially since they DO lay down the 'rules' in the prolog), then I think it is well worth watching if you're a Sci-Fi fan. Overall, I enjoyed it.

I don't get the 'Twilight' comparison at all.

It's not twilight but i was more turned off by the artificial coloring. Dunst looked like an old woman in this movie comparing to the older Sturgess. Thankfully it was only like 90 minutes.

I think what he meant by "Twilight" was not so much the movie itself but the audience that would have liked this movie is the same crowd that goes for Twilight..another words screaming teen age girls which to me is a fair and understandable reference.
dragonbud, I know exactly how you feel. What the hell where they trying to do I don't know except give it some kind of "nostalgia" romance ambiance which might have been ok except there was so much damn noise in the video transfer + the dark gritty background didn't make the visual presentation very enjoyable. Very poor PQ, in this day and age that's just not acceptable anymore.

And Dunsts has always had that "old lady" look to her appeal ever since she was in Interview with the Vampire. And now it's just manifesting itself more and more, when she's in her 40's she''s going to look in the 60's. There's a WTA tennis Agnieska Radwanska who's only like 21 but looks like she's 40. Some have it

Watched tonite and was very impressed.

An original idea, coupled with a romantic and satisfying conclusion, is perfect as a sci-fi "date movie."

Ms. Dunst is mesmerizing as the heroine....

Art Design is excellent.

Will be buying the BD.

Wow Oink, I'm kinda really shocked you liked this one based on the ones you don't lately and this one was really "iffy" in some areas but glad you enjoyed nonetheless. I am though starting to get a feel of what floats your boat.

lol that's unfair! Kirsten Dunst is very pretty, she has beautiful eyes and a smokin' hot body.

Loved the creativity, especially after a long string of uninspired or knock-off sci-fis this summer.

It's not perfect and doesn't answer every question I have, but I just went with the flow and tried not to question too much.
Besides, I'm a sucker for good romantic flicks.wink.gif

I agree with this.

Very few of the beauty queens age gracefully (I'm not saying Dunst is a beauty queen). I find the ones that are “average,” in any walk of life, age much better. And before someone jumps in, I know we all age and we all aren’t perfect. smile.gif

I'll have you know sir, I was never "average."
I was the pick of my mama's 4th litter.
