New movie from Seth MacFarlane starring Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg.

Trailer is NSFW...but only way to watch it.

Hope it's as good as the trailer.

This looks like a charming movie. It is sort of like a more upbeat version of the TV series "Wilfred."

Very much MacFarlane's humor.

There is a "clean" version as well that still is a bit crude but without the swearing. There is some great additional stuff on this as well. I will definitely be renting this for sure.

Looks exactly like Wilfred. The bit with Wahlberg rattling off white trash names was funny, but overall I think I'd rather just watch Wilfred.

TED was a riot! So much original humor, which I was worried about. I thought MacFarlane was going to recycle a lot of the Family Guy jokes, but that wasn't the case. Mind you, I haven't watched Family Guy in years, so what do I know.

We saw it today. It was funny throughout with some real big laughs. Not spectacular, but I don't regret seeing in in a theater.

Thanks to my daughter's strong recommendation, I saw Ted yesterday and loved it. It is raunchy but funny and good hearted, too. As it happens, I saw Paul again last week, which I also really enjoyed. I didn't think that having recently seen Paul detracted in the slightest from my enjoyment of Ted. Although Ted is a raunchy comedy, which involves a teddybear who can somehow walk talk, and interact with others like a real person, and Paul involves a space alien who can do the same thing, I thought the similarity ended there. I highly recommend Ted. 8 Stars out of 10.

Finally got around to seeing this last night - like everyone else, I laughed from start to finish. I was starting to get disappointed with the way I thought they may be heading for the ending....then bam. Movie was a riot...right in my wheelhouse.

Must have gotten there too late as I missed the trailer mentioned above.

Just wow, LMAO the whole time. Couldn't imagine a teddy bear could be this brilliant. And with good writers they can make 10 of these movies as there are millions of scenarios for funny situations with a talking teddy bear. It's just really a shame most parents will not let their kids near this as there a F bombs every minute but it's so natural and funny it's not that offensive.

Haven't laugh this hard since Pablo Francisco's new dvd "They put it out there" earlier this year. Have you ever laugh so hard you were crying? well Pablo took up couple notches with his Arnold's impersonations, the best in the bizz this time narrating over national geographic show I was in tears which is very rare that ever happens. Also his rendition of a black Billy Mays informercial again in tears. I tried to find it on you tube but wasn't up yet but here's a one of his Arnold as little tortilla boy for a taste.

Last night's entertainment was...well, entertaining.smile.gif

Although some joke fails (far fewer than SM's other stuff), a very funny movie overall.

The CGI works well.

Wahlberg is excellent and Kunis is very good.

I watched the Unrated Version and it felt a little bloated.
Can anyone who has SEEN both versions comment on the difference?

Watching now. Probably the most vulgar flick I've seen in a long time. The CGI is good enough and you don't really notice it.

Maybe I’m in an RGIII funk this week, but I didn’t find this that funny. This thread had me thinking Ted was universally accepted as hilarious and the best comedy in years, but I checked Amazon and Ted is all over the place. The fight scene was the funniest, and I laughed out loud at that, and so did my wife, who I thought was going to walk out early on because she said it was stupid (she has no tolerance for movies she views as stupid), but hung in there. I’ve seen the pot smoking stuff with Cheech and Chong so many times that it hardly put a smile on my face. I could go on about a few other things but I’m not going to be a downer in a thread that is so popular. I’ll give Seth credit for one thing: he picked a lot of young, good-looking women for this movie.

Sorry guys, I was only mildly amused.

As noted in my earlier post, my daughter and I both loved Ted. Its appeal for me was that, despite its often incredible raunchiness, it was goodnatured to its core. I also enjoyed the film's large and talented ensemble cast, particularly Giovanni Ribisi as a weird father and the young actor who played his even weirder son, who were willing to go to any lengths to take Ted. By the way, I agree that what happened to RGIII v. the Seahawks was enough to put any Redskins fan into a funk. I wanted the Seahawks to win because they are my grandson's favorite team (go figure) but RGIII's injury and its attendant circumstances disturbed me too.
