I can see going after them, or whomever is responsible for initiating the leak, but I find it an overreaction to shelve the movie. Also, it was a first draft. How many movies are made on a first draft? Haven't we all read books that have been made into movies, or viewed documentaries where we know everything beforehand? Why shelve it? I'm not really sure what is going on. Is QT so pissed at Bruce Dern, or Michael Madsen, or one of their agents, that he is putting Hollywood on notice that you can't trust one of these guys? Is this another publicity stunt? Maybe it wasn't that good of a script to begin with and this conveniently provides an out.

QT has never struck me as a very mature person. Some of his public displays have been rather immature. Again, something seems off to me.

True.
I think he was a little emotional when he said that.
Wouldn't be surprised if it actually ends up being his next movie.

Good point.

I doubt it.
He has all the publicity he could ever want.
Whenever he says something publicly, which isn't very often, we read about it.

FWIW, and as you might have guessed, I have never been accused of being "mature."
Some of my "public displays" have been described as legendary out West.
Scott Simonian likes this.

It's just part of his public persona imo.

I'm not sure that repeated drunken indecent exposure outside nursing homes is the stuff legends are made of.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

Apparently, you're a long way from the West Coast.

I thought that kind of craziness happened mostly in California (where I lived for a few years back in the day). I had always thought of Oregonians as a good deal more sane that the Calio Crazies.

Make no mistake about it, Oregon was a very different place 30 years ago.
With immigration going off the charts here, the distinction is not as much.
