So who is your favorite? If the pick has had multiple actors play the character, you may want to zero in on a specific one. For instance, Batman has been played by seven different actors on the big screen, so a poster who chooses him should let us know which one he puts at the top.

Here's my favorite movie superhero:

Other than myself, I would have to say my favorite superhero would have to be The Hulk....there's just somethin' reassuring about "Hulk SMASH!!"

Agreed. Saw that several years ago.

While I wouldn't qualify Iron Man as my favorite superhero, RDJ's portrayal of Stark is excellent, so that franchise is one of my favorites thus far.

Kick-Ass on first thought.
Every time he stands in front of the mirror and puts that suit back on.

There are others obviously but he has a lot more heart than most modern "heroes."

Not that I don't like the others but my favorite movie superhero is without a doubt Robert Downey Jr. Tony Stark/Iron Man followed very closely by Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Ok, seriously, think I'm going to have to go with Bale's Batman. As fun as they all, or at least most are, none have drawn me into the story like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Hit-Girl was definitely the one that jumped out when I first thought about it.

Christopher Reeve as Superman. We've discussed something similar before in a Superman thread, but Reeve was such a manly man at 26 compared to so many of today's actors at the same age who look like little children. His looks and portrayal of Superman were spot on.

Also, RDJ's work as a drunken billionaire couldn't get much better, but it may not have been much of a stretch for him to just kind of be himself.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

On Reeve's I couldn't agree more. He was Superman among a crop of current Superboys. Absolutely perfect casting, as you have to play the part with a fair amount of finesse to pull off.

And I know I'm in a very small minority on this one, but RDJ's TS/IM just grates on me. For me, a little RDJ goes a long way. His character being basically a douche didn't help either. Iron Man is the most overrated of the recent comic book adaptations imo.

Bales Batman or Evan's Captain America. Both nail the comic book image, IMO.

Among serious heroes my favorites are Christopher Nolan's Batman, as played by Christian Bale, and Joss Whedon's Hulk, as played by Mark Ruffalo. Of the less serious heroes, I too loved Chloë Grace Moretz's Hit Girl in Kick-Ass but loved Nick Cage's Big Daddy even more. I thought it was the finest comic performance of Cage's career.
