I use the stop button. The only reasons I'll watch the credits is to see who an actor is, or the ending music is so darn good I have to listen until it ends (Man of Steel - Hans Zimmer).

Likewise. Don't know if it's done anymore but I remember Europeans (especially the French) would sit through a movie until the end credits.

Amen to that, both the general point and the soundtrack example. MOS had just about the best closing music I can remember experiencing from a final scene.

I thought the movie was good, not quite as good as the first one, but still entertaining. I did think that Kenneth Branagh had a better feel for the material, but this sequel still felt similar. The first movie also had a sharper sense of humor compared to The Dark World.

I may be in the minority here, but I'm tiring of Loki. He was a great character for the first movie, OK in The Avengers, but he's really becoming too prominent in the Marvel movies.

Although Loki is a god and therefore immortal, Thor took him seriously when he told Thor he was dying. Yeah, sure.
I don't think that was a plot hole. After all, we did Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
see Frigga die and we also learned that Bor was dead. Didn't Odin mention that their life-spans were thousands of years, when warning Thor not to pursue his love affair with a human? I don't think they ever stated that the Asgardian gods were immortal, just very long-lived.

Yup.
The Gods are just long-lived, not immortal (at least according to these Thor movies).

According to the post-credits scene (the first one) in Cap2, we're probably not done with Loki yet. But I kind of like his character and Tom Hiddleson's work so it's not an issue for me.

Exactly, and I would add that if Thor 2 was so successful, that's in large part because of him - people love this character and how he's portrayed, perfectly, by Tom Hiddleston. Thor 2's ending already suggested that we're not quite done with him yet.

Yeah, Loki may be the only truly three dimensional character in the Marvel universe. He is a jokester and a trickster, and as treacherous as a rattle snake, but somehow manages to do some good once in a while.

+1 in thoroughly enjoying Huddleston as Loki. Can't get enough of Loki.

That scene was awesome. First time I watched it I expected Loki ( from not our world ) to at least put up some sort of fight. But hulk destroyed him

Credits are good for trivia, and tend to be more complete and accurate vs websites. Reading them shows respect for people who worked on it.

Don't know if it's still de rigueur but Europeans (mostly French) will sit through them. Some silly notion about the director, the producer, and their ilk are bigger than the stars themselves. Go figure. tongue.gif

What can I say? I have a short attention span and perhaps a touch of OCD so in all movies but those from the Marvel franchise, I usually get up and leave when the credits start to roll. I do occassionally make an exception if the credits are interspersed with something more interesting than white letters rolling over a black background. For the kind of nitty gritty contained there, I will consult IMDb later if necessary.
