Looks good to me. It's from Martin McDonagn who did In Bruges.

Saw this last night, very funny and touching. I haven't laughted out loud watching a movie in a long time and this movie has the perfect balance of humor and poignancy. Solid 8!

The opening scene with the 2 hit men had me LMAO so funny..very reminiscent of Pulp fiction. The 1st 45 min I was enthralled with the genius writing and just super cool characters. This is what good ole creative penmanship and colorful characters is all about.

However, after the 7th psychopath was revealed...the film IMO got to be too self aware it became like an inside joke along the lines of Cabin Fever. it's like it began to eat it's own fat and loss much of the brilliance in the beg how the 7 psychopaths was created. After that, the writer just ran of out ideas and the characters ran amok.

Very good movie. Sam Rockwell made Colin Farrell watchable.

Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors, and has been since The Green Mile; he can make anyone watchable, but I end up watching him.

This was a strange and unusual movie. It was worth the rent and I had a few laughs, but I have no desire to see it again.

This is a head movie.

I also liked Christopher Walken’s performance.

My wife & I were enticed by the promos, thoroughly disappointed by the product. Waste of talent. Two stars out of five.

Totally agree. It did get long winded in the desert though.

Couldn't say it better myself.
If I didn't like the actors so well, I wouldn't have made it to the end.
Very fine performances wasted on a lackluster script meant for Hollywood insiders and their ilk.
Not in the same league as In Bruges.

We both liked the first scene. The next 15 or so minutes was a bunch of scenes trying to shock and be really edgy cool and hip.

I guess we aren't as at that point it went back in the Netflix sleeve.

I have to agree i was disappointed with this film. The beginning with those two guys was the only thing that made me laugh. Returned it back to Amazon.

The funniest thing with this release is in the Special Features: Psychocats.
This is what the theatrical release should have been...

This movie was a disappointment. The whole film should have been just Woody and Walken.

I'd disagree as Sam is really good BUT a Woody/Walken one would be pretty cool.

[idisagree]

This was one of the most original story and it wasn't supposed to be just "funny" but rather poignant as well. I thought the director does a fabulous job of keeping everything tied together while letting the actors do their thing.

I really liked In Bruges and with this great cast was probably expecting too much.

I need to give In Bruges another shot. I have a low tolerance for Colin Farrel and turned it off.

Now that you guys brought it up and in retrospect...I think Colin was miscast in this movie. He did not come of like a writer to me at all, more like a struggling actor trying to land a job or make a name for himself would have been more believable. I don't have any problem with him but this could have been better with a more "quirky" actor like Same Rockwell.

I'm by no means a Colin Farrel fan. But I thought he was alright in the Fright Night remake. Or perhaps it was just so refreshing to see a vampire explode and not shimmer in the sunlight I overlooked a few things.

Walken and Waits sold it to me. I enjoyed it, but my humor is a little off.

A seriously psychotic (or I guess I should say psychopathic) flick. I don't think it was nearly as bad as folks above are making out. It was very unusual obviously, but it had it's moments. I don't think it was particularly trying to be overly funny per se, at least not in any of the usual ways. It won't necessarily be a re-watcher or anything, but I imagine it's a flick you have to be in the mood for.
