This is another of those titles that is hard to search for accurately, as all of the movies I've reviewed lately seem to be. Sorry if it's already been covered. I watched it tonight and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's not a big movie or anything, nothing blowed up real good, no nekkid supermodels or anything of that sort.
It's just a really nice, simple movie about a guy who has fallen down the depression hole finding his way back through an odd series of events. Matthew Broderick plays the lead character. His Senagalese room mate has health troubles and his sister comes over to be with him, and starts him back on the road to a more positive outlook. I thought he did a good job with it. I've not seen all his films, so maybe he's done some more serious stuff I've not seen. But it was a new version of him for me. He looks like he wasn't having to reach too hard to find that character.
The girl that plays he's roommate's sister does a good job as well. Not my type but a very pretty face, and she handles the role well. I assume it probably didn't get a whole lot of bucks, so it's fairly short and, as with many of those types of films, sometimes you feel like some character development got lost. But those are easily forgivable issues.
Anyhoo, check it out of you haven't seen it. I liked it a lot.
