That's the one!

The comedy is pretty flat. I'm not sure what went wrong.

I assume that's John Malkovich, and I'll further assume it's In the Line of Fire.

Old farts do remember sometimes. You are correct. By far my favorite Ripley flick. The scene in the train WC is priceless.

Have you seen The American Friend, made from the same book? Dennis Hopper is a bizarre choice to play Tom Ripley, but I like it.

I've seen them all, including the foreign language ones. I liked The American Friend OK, but mainly because of Bruno Ganz.

I'm a Gilliam fan, but that's a terrible, terrible movie, and no amount of adding new footage or shuffling around scenes will fix that.

We were recently speaking of poster art you sometimes discover when making stills from movies.

An example: (no this is not a new challenge, and please excuse the blocky zoom)

I like it better than most people seem to, but I like everything Gilliam does. I never cared much for Brazil, so I must be outside the norm.

Lena's inspiration for the look in that frame was..."Terry, I'm not quite sure where you're going with this..."

Thanks! I was waffling between Raising Arizona and another film but went with RA because of the mental image I got of the biker speeding down the highway.

I came across the movie on TV the other day, which inspired the choice.

I pulled a whole bunch of screencaps off the Blu-ray in case people needed more clues, and now I don't get to use them.
