That's the one!

One of the greatest films to ever come out of Canada. Two small town guys leave home and drive to the big city only to have their dreams of success, and endless good times completely crushed by the cruel and lonely real world. It was shot on a shoestring budget in 16mm and released in 1970 to great fanfare.

SCTV did a hilarious spoof of Goin Down the Road in the 80's. Most people who know that spoof probably hadn't seen the movie.

Yup. Just released on BD by Twilight Time. An absolutely wonderful film with the genius of both George Cukor and Judy Holliday on full display.

The first two shots featured Lena Headey again. Where's the fan club?

A literary mystery/romance with both contemporary and Victorian tracks. I like the costume portion better; Headey, Jeremy Northam and Jennifer Ehle are well suited to those roles.

Well, if Kilgore is King, I guess that makes me Court Jester! This round was a personal best for me, anyhow.

Thanks, Bill!

I was not shure that it was Headey. Headey in Judge Dredd was one of the coolest girls i've seen in a long time..I few day's ago i saw True Grit, that girl did a great job, Hailee Steinfeld, also very memorable.

You'll know you've had an ass-kicking if she delivers it. Strangely, all sorts of big ugly guys are lining up for it.

It's about what you'd expect if you have low expectations. Redbox has the Blu-ray.

Well you're talking about one of my favorite John Ford films, I prefer it to The Searchers. (But then I have a darker turn of mind). It also just came out on BD which I bought, and it was an easy guess. I like this film more each time I see it.
