I'm a big fan of Kieslowski. Check out "The Decalogue".

I think I'm the only film nerd in existence who thinks the Three Colors Trilogy is a load of pretentious rubbish. White is tolerable, but I can't stand Blue or Red.

Technically, Kieslowski's film is "Red" and the Willis/Mirren/Malcovich action movie is "RED" (an acronym).

That was literally the movie that got me interested in "going online". I had a hand-me-down TRS 80 Model I computer that I'd done some programming on, but after WarGames I was determined to get a modem. A few months later I got a shiny new Atari 800XL with a 300 baud modem...and have been online ever since. Good ol' local dial-up message boards were a lot of fun. Joined GEnie (General Electric network for information exchange) a little while later.

Unless stated otherwise, that's the default rule. See all the customary rules in the first post in this thread.

Speaking of John Carradine. Besides everything else he accomplished in his life, I see he has 339 credited movie and TV roles. That's impressive.

That's incredible. Wonder who the all time leader in that category is, and with how many credits.

Every once in a while, quite inexplicably, things actually go according to plan.

I've seen a lot of acting credits in the 300+ range. Character actors tend to work a lot for a long time. For example, James Hong is at 386:

Quote:
Bladerunner: "I only do eyes..."

Big Trouble in Little China: "Now, this really pisses me off..."
I don't remember a 400+ count at the moment, but will keep a lookout.

According to Jim Beaver's bio on Carradine, he claimed near the end of his life to have been in more movies than anyone else. I suspect that we will see those kind of numbers decline in the future, since they are based partly on a time when movies were getting cranked out in a couple weeks. In the 70's, Carradine has 10 credits a year or there abouts. Its remarkable because he was also sustaining a decent stage career for many years. He also managed 4 marriages, fathered 4 children and adopted a 5th.
