Could be... should be... is! It's not all obscure Criterion titles here. (Free public library Blu-ray: I can't resist those).

Yep - I thought that pic might have made it a bit harder but I guess not . Of all the good WW2 movies out there, this one remains one of my favorites (although not a "war" movie per se).

Actually, I thought Knowing was a terrific movie...right up to that lousy, stinking ending that completely spoiled the whole thing.

Mario Bava's Planet of the Vampires.

The uniforms were the giveaway point for me. I've only seen stills from the film, not the actual movie itself, but I recognized the uniforms as being from an Italian production.

Looks like I'm a little late...

Retro-SF is big again. Maybe even Italian science fiction will come into its own.

I'd never seen it before. Listening to the commentary track and writing the capsule review made me like it better.

Actor Barry Sullivan was not too pleased to be in such a low-rent production, but when he showed up after to do his dialogue recording he was astonished at how fine it looked. He had to watch the whole thing once before he could concentrate on his lines.

Review: Planet of the Vampires (1965).
