Correct! Jesse Owens sports bio-pic. Very mild treatment, not that exciting.

Carice van Houten is the pyro-witch from "Game of Thrones". Here she plays Leni Riefenstahl, who is given a sympathetic treatment. Called "Hitler's filmmaker" she was tried four times after the war but never convicted of war crimes. The nature of her association with the nazis is described as "unclear".

Must be characteristic Dutch physiogomy.

Her first big film role. Review: Miller's Crossing (1990).

I was thinking of using this shot; would it have been harder?

Marcia looks great in that shot. Some girls look better when they're mad.

Bill, is it your plan to post stills from Miller's Crossing every couple weeks? Because if so, I'd like to pre-emptively put in my guesses now.

Maybe. But not as charming. She's the cat's pajamas. Still is ... loved her in NEWSROOM (HBO) season 2 and 3.

Hah, I was thinking the same thing (Newsroom). I was thinking "This chick is getting up there and she's still magnetic".

I know this isn't what you meant, but the way you write that reads like you're saying that Marcia Gay Harden has died.

A hit-man rom-com that takes AA seriously. Another John Dahl project, this time with Ben Kingsley, Téa Leoni, Luke Wilson, Philip Baker Hall, Dennis Farina, and Bill Pullman.

For me: just ok, one time only. My wife liked it better. Kingsley as romantic lead: the mind boggles.

In a separate reality, in a universe far far away... oh, well. No point in lamenting what was not to be.

I'm not a big fan of superhero or comic book titles, but what really spoiled this one for me was the whiny little voice Ryan Reynolds uses. Excruciating.
