Finally got a chance to watch this what an amazing film. Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper did a fantastic job. I was getting a bit tired of Deniro but with this film I really liked his character. Jennifer Lawrence for me I thought this is her best role she played, don't get me wrong she was great in Winters Bone and Hunger Games but this one topped them all. She is a great actress and looked sexy in her dance outfit. Bradley Cooper was also great but have to admit he was outshined by Jennifer.

I watched it some time back and never got around to commenting on this thread. It's been a while but I remember enjoying it thoroughly.

I thought it was one of the best films of last year. Certainly the best thing Bradley Cooper has ever done, and Jennifer Lawrence was superb. Brilliant screenplay, exceptional directing. One of the most original films to come out of Hollywood in ages.

I'm glad all of you enjoyed it. As noted in my earlier posts, it was one of my favorite films of the year. David O. Russell does great work.

Russell's work on this film moved him up several notches on my most respected directors list

Should be interesting how American hustle fares with cooper, de niro, and Lawrence all returning

De Niro is De Niro, so we all know what he brings to the table every time out. Lawrence established herself as a gifted young actress before Silver Linings Playbook. That leaves Cooper, who I suggest most of us thought of as a lightweight comedic actor and not much more before his surprisingly wonderful dramatic performance in Silver Linings Playbook. Cooper has convinced me that he is a wonderful dramatic actor, given the right role and the right director. Russell fills that bill, of course. My main concern about American Hustle is that IMDb shows the screenplay as having been written by David O. Russell "and" some guy named Eric Singer. Not only is Singer an unknown, at least to me, but the "and" in the credits indicates that he and Russell didn't collaborate on the screenplay, at least not to the point they would agree that their names in the writing credits should be separated an "&." Uh oh.

And in Unlimited, which I think is the first thing I saw him in. I thought he was perfect for that role.

Thanks for the tip. For some reason I missed Beyond the Pines in the theater, despite the presence of Ryan Gosling. I have created a Wishlist for it on my TiVo for when it shows up on one of the premium movie channels. This does appear to be quite a good film.

Didn't see either of those films so i I was like
many others after seeing cooper in slp
who, theretofore, had thought the hangover was
the pinacle of his acting skills.

I think that Limitless is a killer movie, with a great vibe. It's dark but funny and has a lot of atmosphere.

Same here. I saw it in the theater and loved it, bought the BD, and I've watched it about 10 times since. I like the story and the cinematography, and it doesn't hurt at all that the beautiful Abbie Cornish is in it.

You need to see her in one of her first movies, Candy. A strange movie, but she is hotter than a goat in heat in a forest fire.

I saw Limitless in the theater too but had forgotten I had seen it. I agree that it is a good film.
