Is Ion is the only OTA TV station broadcasting this? Looks like tons of cable and sat channels on the bandwagon.

Is anyone getting this in 5.1?
Only 2.0 on my local 720p Ion channel, oh and it's also on LWN(LiveWell Network).

Sounds like DD5.1 to me on AXS and Palladia. Watching via D*

I'm slightly preferring the audio on AXS, a bit more bass, sounds a little "fuller"

PQ about the same on both, a bit soft on the distance shots and dim red lighting doesn't help.

There's a bunch of suits in the audience - did they auction the seats off to a bunch of Wall St. bankers?

I notice the celebrity call center is equipped with cell phones - curious how that is set up. Connected to a PBX via VOIP over WiFi?

FiOS NYC.
Most channels have stereo audio. MSG Network and the AMC Networks it seems are broadcasting the concert in simulated DD 5.1 which adds more bass to the LFE subwoofer channel then the stereo broadcasts on the other channels.
Palladia is indicating L & R only on my receiver. Are you sure the audio is DD 5.1?

On ION OTA (Cleveland) and PLDAHD on D*, my receiver Dolby PL II X lights up. On AXSHD I get a Dolby EX light. If it's "fake" DD5.1, it sounds decent enough to me...

Sorry if I sound old but no one can follow Eric Slow Hand Clapton. That was great. Not sure how to be sure its native but AXS HD is 5.1 DD lots of low end switched the sub down to the music setting- 3db at least from where I left it (my norm movies are set hot)

Watching on AXS as well. This is one unreal lineup! Really enjoyed the Roger Waters/Eddie Vedder act. Really not a bad act yet. Even enjoyed Bon Jovi who I've never really cared for before. Can't believe The Stones, The Who, McCartney, and Billy Joel are still coming up!

The reason I'm guessing it's a simulated DD 5.1, on the taped segments it's the same audio on the L, C & R and on the performances while there is more vocals in the center they are also on the L & R.

When Roger Daltrey sang "Who the F___ are you." on MSG Network the audio got incorrectly censored 7 seconds later.

A lot of echo on the vocals for The Who and Kanye West's performances.

I watched it on Palladia via FiOS and my receiver also indicated 2 channel DD. I agree, amazing lineup, up until the Kayne West atrocity. That's the point where I shut the TV off and went to bed! I also noticed a banner ad popping up indicating pre-orders can be made for the individual performances at the iTunes store. Wonder what they're going to do with the proceeds...

Watched on Showtime2 via DirecTV. I was getting a 5.1 stream but it sounded like stereo. Quality was pretty good, just not a true 5.1 mix.

The proceeds from the iTunes album sales go to the same charity as the concert.

Thought Bruce was great. Eric's drummer was ham-handed, and watching him, in a power trio again was unpleasant.. Couldn't carry it. His Band usually has a 2nd guitar and keyboards, at least. Roger Waters was great when he brought out Eddie Vedder, and his band may have had the best mix of the night. Stones, what 3 songs, and out, even "Nucky" commmented... Billy Joel sounded very good. McCartney kicking off with Helter Skelter, WOW.. Even though he was horse, his band sounded crisp. The Nirvana "re-union" was well, unexpected...

I went to bed after Billy Joel, and set the DVR to go for a few hours. Little did i know that ION would cut showing the concert at 12:30 to put on moronic wrestling. There are a ton of really pissed off people over this, missed Paul McCartney and others.

Also, how about the people that might have DONATED MONEY near the end of the concert? Bunch of us really ripping ION apart on Facebook.

They can drop dead.

+1
They didn't even stop broadcasting at a logical point, RIGHT in the middle of a number mad.gif
Come on Ion, couldn't you have delayed or even skipped a episode of wrestling for a once in a lifetime event rolleyes.gif
Truthfully this was probably the only time I'd actually watched Ion this year and if this is how they operate I see no real reason to continue.
Did anyone watch this on LWN(LiveWell Network) and they provide full coverage? I would have tried but they are just SD in my market and bitstarved at that.

It's already made its way around the internet so all is not lost if it isn't released

My market also has a bitstarved SD LWN subchannel, but I watched the last hour or so there, and yes, they stayed on thru the complete concert.

Thanks for verifying that, if I had watched the last half live I would have probably went that route, unfortunately I DVR'd the ending and when I played it back it just cut off, right in the middle of a number!
