You're lumping a lot of people together with your opinions and insults. I enjoy most of Bay's films. I'm not an indiscriminate teen and neither are the myriad of people I know who enjoy and seek out his escapist style filmmaking. Your opinions are fine, just a little harsh. That's all.

I think M Bay is perhaps slowing down and wants to do movies that don't require big budgets and robots all the time. And if so that's quite alright with me because this was not bad at all.

It's was a bit long and dragged but I guess perhaps Bay wanted to be true to the story had to be told to it's full detail. I laughed many times which meant the movie did it 's job because I don't laugh easily. Bay was able to get the most out of the Rock and Walberg in a non-action movie and made them legitimately believable and funny "when" it had to be. There were some really funny bits and dialogue.

Hate Bay or not, his movies always looked great stylistically and you feel you're watching a movie with quality production and that's very important to me. A movie should look like a movie if you know what I mean. If I'm correct this is Bay 1st dive down comedy and I say he did a great job and don't hesitate to recommend it for a fun time. Note there is some violence and blood from the torture and "Texas massacre" type scenes so it may not be for all ages.

Watched this last night I enjoyed it. I couldn't believe some of the crazy stuff they did towards the end of the film.

I thought this was kind of like another episode of "Bad Boys", if you wanted to revisit that world and couldn't get Will and Martin to sign-on. It even had a redux of Michael Bay's crazy stroboscope sequence.

I need your sweet love, Rosetta Stone girl!

There are rules against that stuff.

We just watched this and it is a helluva story and worth the watch for Marky Mark and Rock fans. It has Bay all over it which might be the weakest link although some of the shots were great. It just kept getting more and more twisted. I can see where some would take offense to the comedic elements but most of it was in the "omg I can't believe they really did that" vein. Ed Harris summed it up nicely by saying truth is stranger than fiction.

...but just so you know, I don't really have anything against the Bad Boys universe, either. I actually wish more could be made, but I guess once the magic chemistry is gone, its gone.

...wish another Miami Vice movie was on the way, too! South Florida just looks cool and interesting stuff happens there. smile.gif

Actually, the movie has little to do with the REAL story (and Ed Harris is a dip$hit):

Doesn't change the fact that it's a pretty damn decent flick. That same article even backs up how twisted the story is. The headline, as usual, is misleading and is just bait.
