So, I just happened to think about this I guess because of having watched a number of movies recently and noticing that they mention the drink Mojitos. In this case, the ones I remember are:

1. Shop Girl
2. 27 Dresses
3. Miami Vice
4. A Good Old Fashioned Orgy

That's a pretty wide variety of flicks, and that just got me thinking, what is the most mentioned drink in movies? Of course in a lot of cases it's the most product placed drink, which makes me kind of not want to even bring it up since it just provides free publicity and I get no kick backs. But, still, was I just on a Mojito Run, or are Mojitos way up there on the Drinks in Flicks list?

Obviously martinis are up there, but in such a generic way that I'm not sure most of them count.

BTW, I would also just point out, just to take my own thread off topic before it begins, that Maimi Vice has to be up there towards the top in terms of getting atmosphere onto the screen, and music plays a huge part in that. Something like two poeple in a boat barely talking, as when Sonny takes his new friend to Havana on his speed boat, becomes almost epic vibe purely because of the music used. It's a particularly interesting contrast, having just watched John Carter, demonstrating how you can create a very expensive movie that has almost no measurable vibe whatsoever given a massive budget and exotic sets and such. Or you can create a hair raising scene of two people in a speed boat.

I also think beer is the winner.

The biggest sin to me is the amount of drinks that are wasted in movies. The number of times drinks are ordered and sipped one time or left untouched is staggering. They should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. biggrin.gif

I was assuming beer wouldn't count, since it's not a 'drink' in the sense meant here, i.e. a mixed drink.

This thread should be retitled 'Alcoholic Drink' because drink refers to any kind of liquid which is specifically prepared for human consumption.

If if it's just 'drink' then the hands down winner is coffee...and was the first thing that sprang to mind.
