So did Lucas. Then he forgot. It happens. Just yesterday I forgot my wife had told me to pick up milk at the grocery store. No problem. I just created a new version in which she forgot to tell me. Problem solved!

And if you believe that, I've got some oceanfront property on Tatooine to sell you. tongue.gif

But no Lando Calrission? Strange? I figured Billy Dee Williams character would be there as well. I think he may be ill, but not sure. Is this cast ALL WHITE? Just a curious white guy? Considering that is how Billy Dee got cast in the first place. Apparently G L's STAR WARS was only meant for "Whitey."

Star Wars without John Williams wouldn't be Star Wars. However, when John dies, as we all do (and by then we should be approaching the release of SW32), I would feel very comfortable if the baton landed in Hans Zimmer's hand.

There will always be Star Wars with John Williams. He'll just appear as a spirit composer along with Yoda, Kenobi and Anakin. The question is will it be an older or younger version? wink.gif

Not unexpected but the buzz on this is already getting huge. I've seen more articles and media spots about this (casting) than I can count. For those that remember the original release back in the 70's the infiltration and domination of pop culture was massive. And I get the feeling this movie will make a strong run at the same.

I dont know if you guys have watched the Clone Wars cartoon but i HIGHLY suggest you watch Season 6 (Netflix only)

Lucas had them tie ALOT of stuff together that happened in the Prequels and Sequels. They actually should've made this season into a live action movie

Billy Dee just Dancing With The Stars, not that I've ever watched it or anything.

Yes he was most recently on DWTS and I believe he did have an injury or some sort. Afterwards he was on a few talk shows and I've also seen him make an appearance on that geek contest show cohosted by Booger from Revenge of the Nerds. So it appears he's kind of making the rounds that many celebs (or former celebs) do to try to get back in front of a camera. I suspect as a push to get noticed for recasting in SWVII but at this point doesn't appear to have been successful.

Perhaps the screenplay just hasn't allowed for the intro of his character and if so (to Abrams credit) they're not forcing a character in just to do so (Jar Jar anyone?). Or perhaps there are plans to bring Billy Dee in on SWVIII.
