I had no clue that was coming in that movie and totally enjoyed it. It's easily the best film ever behind Flash Gordon.

Yeah, and then Sam Jones started channeling his inner Lloyd Bridges from Airplane. Only thing missing was the glue. biggrin.gif

Are you referring to the Blazers beating the Rockets and now on their way to beating San Antonio in seven?

I never saw Ted but recently ran across that scene on Youtube. It was awesome.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

My original complaints were just so much more noticeable now. Lack of an effective score (no real theme music), drawn out battles and action sequences, Legolas may have just as well been played by another actor since he was so different, but the Smaug scenes were still pretty awesome. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
And I just wanted to stop the movie at every scene that hinted at the budding relationship between Evangeline Lilly and the dwarf.

I watched it last night. Im starting to agree with you there Stephen, Im actually finding it boring. 'The Battle has begun and were going to war ' very similar to what was said in LOTR. Its like there taking the same direction in some parts.

I agree with your spoiler.

The fight scenes in this were so boring. Unnecessary too. Legolas is so OP they might as well just have him kill every Orc in Middle Earth, because given enough time I don't see anything indicating he would even break a sweat doing it.

He shouldn't have been in this movie to begin with, but then again neither should most everything else they put in.
